This type of question is a foreground question, precisely a therapy question that
intends to compare two diets. The question also intends to determine the most appropriate
regimen for long term weight loss (Dahlgren Memorial Library, 2020; LoBiondo-Wood et
al., 2018, p. 31-38). Such a question is specific and intends to make comparisons between the
effectiveness of a ketogenic diet and calorie restriction diet for the envisioned outcome.
This question is also written in the PICOT format. In essence, the population is (In
adult male shift workers), intervention is (is ketogenic diet), the comparison is (better than a
calorie restriction diet), and the outcome is (long-term weight loss) (Riva et al., 2012;
LoBiondo-Wood et al., 2018, pp. 31-38).
This rationale is essential for clinical practice because it describes the population's
