INTRODUCTION
In an organisation there are numerous divisions who conduct distinct activities with
motive of achieving predetermined goals and objectives. Moreover, in these divisions
professional conduct activities because they are expertise of own areas. In this report distinct
division will going to discuss along with their importance in company.
MAIN BODY
Marketing
Marketing is one of the important divisions in Tesco as it plays major role in fulfilling
customers needs and want which are aligned with company goals. Along with this, it also
promotes goods and services of company within market area for enhancing customer base
(Olson and et. al., 2018). For instance, Tesco’s marketing manager will do market survey
which provide assistance in analysing customers taste, preferences, needs and wants in proper
manner which result in making them satisfy.
Finance
In an organisation finance is backbone because without proper funds it will be difficult to
conduct activities in effective manner (Röglinger and et. al., 2016). Although, finance
division is related with management of financial resources in company. Respective
department role is to strength financial position of company. For example, Tesco’s financial
condition is good as well as transparent that is only possible because of financial division.
Operation/production
Production department mainly work for profitability of company and ensure smooth
production. They make sure that business will run in proper manner as well as if production
division get impacted then it may result in negative impact on overall company (Chen and et.
al., 2017). Along with this, it is responsibility of production manager to make sure that fine
quality products and services will offer to customers for making them satisfy. For instance,
Tesco is multinational brand which conduct their business in UK which is possible due to its
operation and production department.
Human resource
HR department in organisation is responsible for each and every activity as they
ensure that it will conduct in better manner and accomplish desired goals and objectives (HR

practices. 2020). For instance, if their any position is vacant in Tesco company then it is
responsibility of Human resource division to fill it and conduct operations in proper manner.
Importance
In an organisation it is important to have several divisions because there working with
each other results in accomplishing desired goals in better manner. Moreover, it is important
to proper communication within each and every division because without sharing important
data it will be difficult to conduct activities in appropriate way (Jakubiec, 2019). For
example, Human Resource is important part of company because it works for welfare of
employee’s and organisation both. As they hire employees for vacant position who help in
conducting each and every work of company in better manner. Apart from this, working of
each and every division is interrelated such as finance department allocated funds for every
other department of company which provide them assistance in accomplishing desired goals
of their specific division. Thus, each and every department have their distinct role but they
are interrelated with each other and play essential role in accomplishing organisational goals
and objectives.
CONCLUSION
After going through entire discussion, it has been concluded that each and every
division in organisation play important. When they all work together it results in achieving
desired goals and objectives in better manner.
