Cross-Cultural Flow
The cross-cultural flow in the movie 'Avenger: Infinity Wars' saw coming together of
the superhero universe, which was catapulted into live figures by the Marvel Universe. The
movie can be seen as the culmination of the world of superhero withering away in the same
way the human world and human life did. The depiction of cross-cultural flow is reflected
mostly with the adherence of Captain America played by Chris Evans when he admits the
safest and the strongest place in the world to be Wakanda. The state of Wakanda, a fictional
nation which has the front of a third world country who showed their true identity to the
world in the Movie 'Black Panther.' The role of Princess Shuri and her portrayal of the
unconventional princess who knows better particle physics than Dr. Bruce Banner (Walker).
The involvement of the Jabbaris in the fight shows the coming together of even the remotest
culture uniting to fight the common enemy.
Chilling Effect
Being one of the most anticipated movies in the Marvel Fan Universe, it opened with
the most chilling effect up till then. Loki, The God of Mischief whose whimsical character
was loved by the fan and was the one who brought into Earth the outer life forms. He has
died several times in the past and has come back to life with the help of his magic, but the
movie starts with the narration where the last movie of the franchise has ended in outer space.
The appearance of Thanos, the mega villain who was behind the working of almost every
villain in the franchise, comes into the forefront for the first infinity stone, which was inside
the Tesseract and was the source of its power (Hvitved-Andersen and Brian). The death of
Loki and the fight with Hulk shows the might of Thanos and the impending action, which
will be seen in the movie later.

Mode of Address
As the movie consists of all the Marvel superhero world coming together, the mode of
address of the movie becomes a derivative of counter-narratives. We see the plot of the movie
being divided into parts with Tony Stark or Iron Man, along with Spiderman and Dr. Strange
have decided to take the fight to Thanos on his home planet in Titan. Here the enormous size
of the ruin is a show from the lower angle, which makes the audience understand the
intimidating feeling that the characters have to go through (Elder). Moreover, back on Earth,
Hulk brings about the divided team together to fight Thanos and to forego the dispute with
the news of Thor and Loki's death. When the fight is arranged in the city of Wakanda, and the
battlefield is captured with a vertical view, the audience is made to feel like one of the
soldiers standing behind their hero to walk into the fight.
One to many & Many to One
One of the most important effects of the movie was the display of the culmination of
several narratives bonded together and come as one. We see Thor's spaceship after they
escaped Ragnarok and en route to Earth and the condition of the Avengers as two different
teams which could be traced back to the movie 'Captain America: Civil War' where the team
was disbanded under Stark and Captain for accepting to be monitored and willing to work
freely as they have always done. It calls to the attention and focus of the audience the
narratives and plots they have lived with their superhero character in the past (DeRosa and
Stacey). The audience witnesses the coming together of all the superhero cultures into one
when the rogues of the galaxy turned guardians finds the floating grave of Asgardians with
Thor still being alive. It is from here when Gamora, the adopted daughter of Thanos,
expresses the gravity of the danger the Universe may fall in if he can get all the stone that the
narrative combines to become one.

Canon
The canon of the movie is the assertion of good over evil, but the movie ends in
setting where the evil wins and wipes out half of the world's population. Various tropes are
covered by the movie. However, the most important is the humanization of the superheroes
who have been worshiped and perceived as immortals experiences human emotions. The
most surprising in the movie comes from the acceptance of Loki, who finally gave up
Tesseract for his brother and died after declaring himself an Odinson. The second and
pleasant addition is the relationship between Wanda and Vision, an Artificial Intelligence
made by the joint effort of Stark and Banner (Bruno). The third and the most important is the
portrayal of the friendship in the end where Captain loses his best friend, the Winter Soldier,
Rocket loses Groot and Okoye loses her King. Nevertheless, in the end, the audiences are
shocked by the display of pain and grief by Thanos over the loss of Gamora.
Mise en Scene
'Avengers: Infinity Wars' is one of the few movies in the history where the director,
the actors as well the audiences lived with each character of the movie. However, the
portrayal of the action scene and the setting of the plots along with the costume added to the
gravity of the situation and made it clearer to the audience. The scene in Wakanda and the
display of their superior technology in the before the start of the fight where Thanos's army of
the creature was killing themselves to create a breach in the system, the camera is kept at a
balance where the characters are all shown at an equal level showing their position in the
fight as equal (Briseno). The suits worn by the heroes are those of their original ones, and in
case of Captain America we see him wearing his costume which is a derivation of the comic
book edition. The camera from Thanos's side is shown inclined, and they could look down
upon the Wakandan army conveying their strength in number.
