Some of the main provisions of the WHS legislation that affects development of the
keyboard skills of person involve OHS, privacy laws & copyright legislations.
Privacy laws- It means as the laws which deals with regulation, using of the personally
identifiable data, storing the information and financial information of an individual that could be
gathered by the public, private & government companies or another individuals (Board, 2019).
WHS needs all the people at the time of developing keyboard related skills for the purpose of
observing such law. It reflects that WHS are not been supposed to disclose material and personal
information to the parties that are unauthorized.
OHS – This legislation indicates risk management to health & safety of every people
within the workplace. It involves health & safety of any individual who does the work for a
company, visitors, suppliers and the customers (Gekara and et.al., 2017). Initially it might cost
the money & time for implementing safe measures & installing safer equipment but is important
to success of an enterprise. It creates a safe working environment which is seen as legal
requirement and is found as critical to long run success of business which helps the staff in
developing their own keyboard skills, improving the productivity of staff, reducing cost of an
injury & illness at workplace and also the workers compensation. It facilitates a safest working
environment along with providing & maintaining the safe structures & machinery.
Copyright- It is considered as the bunch of the rights within certain creative works like
artistic work, computer program, music, sound recordings and the films. Such right are been
granted exclusively for copyright owner in reproducing material, right in performing or showing
work to public (Lusa and et.al., 2020). The owners of copyright will prevent others in
communicating & reproducing work without getting permission or might sell such rights to some
other individual. Copyright do not protect new ideas, techniques, styles and the concepts. For
instance- it would not protect idea for the book or the film but it would protect the script for a
film or storyboard for picture. It is counted as separate right to property right within an object.
For instance- it mean that an individual might own the book or the painting would not also own
copyright in book or the panting unless it had been particularly assigned to it. In Australia,
protection of copyright is seen as automatic (Luo, Saberi and van den Brand, 2019). There is no
any requirement for the registration in the Australia, nor there is not any legal need for
publishing work or in putting copyright noticing on them.

The 11 ergonomic needs are as follows-
Elbows- An individual must sit above a desk valuing at 90-110 degrees.

Wrists- It should be in line with the fore arms
Head- At level of 90 degree whilst as seated
Feet- It must be flat on ground or the footrest must be there for prolonged standing along with
mat.
Knees, Ankles and Hips-At 90 degree seated
Shoulders- Relaxed as opposing to the hunched
Eyes- Looking at top 3rd of screen by considering use of laptop raiser with the laptop
Backrest- Angled between 90-110 degree with a adequate lumbar support in a line with lower
back
Seat length- It should be long enough in providing support to beneath thighs
Mouse & Keyboard- H & G of the keyboard aligned with nose and the mouse gripped as
loosely
Laptop- Used with riser, external mouse and keyboard
