INTRODUCTION
Management is the process in which the affected people can together
help each other in accomplishing the desired goals and objectives
which are used for the available sources efficiently and effectively. In
this project the chosen organization is KFC which is an American fast
food multinational organization. This organization is considering a
merger with another firm for which it is facing certain challenges. In
this project three leadership and management theories which the client
organization can use for the leadership and management issues is
shown. This project will also provide an organizational structure which
the business can use for managing the problems which it is facing such
as the staff motivation, employee retention and conflicts.
Management: Putting theory in practice
Organizational structure for the merging organization
Organizational structure is the outline of the how the certain activities are
said to be directed towards achieving the goals of an organization which
include the different set of rules, roles and responsibilities which can help
in the determination of the flows between different levels of the company.
There are four basic types of organization structure which an organization
can have, Functional structure, Divisional structure, Flatarchy structure
and Matrix structure. This organization which is facing major issues
regarding the management of the employees such as the low employee
retention rate, lack of motivation, cultural issues between the firms and
management of resources. For such problems the business needs to have
an organization structure which can help the business in the management if
the employees properly in a structural form.
Therefore, the Divisional structure, can be said as the most effective
organizational structure with the help of which the organization can be
able to assert control over the employees and also make sure they are
motivated (Thompson and Glasø, 2018). This organizational is also
known as the multi-sectional organizational structure, which suggests that
it will contain different departments which will have their own rules and
regulations.
Leadership and management theories for resolving the issues in the
organization
Different theories can be used for resolving the issues which KFC is having
in the organization regarding the management of the employees.
SCIENTIFIC MANAGEMENT THEORY:
It is the type of theory in which the management of the analyzation and
synthesis of the workflow. It helps the business to develop towards a main
objective of improving the economic efficiency, especially labor
productivity. The analyzation of the employees will help the business
analyze some of the major issues which can allow the organization to
identify the issues which they have or might have in the business (Su,
2017). The main purpose of the scientific management theory is to improve
the efficiency and labor productivity.
BEHAVIORAL LEADERSHIP THEORY
In this theory the success of the leader is based on the behavior rather
than their natural attributes. This theory includes the observation of
employees before taking leadership actions. They like to respond to a
specific situation which makes the leaders effective leaders and help
them in implementing the behaviors which they want from their
employees (Wright, 2017). In this theory the needs of the employee are
also needed to be considered for accessing their behaviors which can
provide the leader detailed view on how the employees can be motivated
such that they can be provided with guidance.

CONCLUSION
With the help of this project it can be concluded that with the help of the
divisional organizational structure KFC will be successfully be manage the
issues which are arriving due to the merger. In this project three theories of
leadership and management is considered that can influence the decision of
the business towards their employees and as a result also be effective for
resolving the issues which they are having in the organization.
