Khalid al-Mutani shows some qualities that contributed to his success in business within
Sultanate of Oman. Khalid al-Mutani has a number of businesses in Oman that contribute
directly or indirectly to the community or the country at large. His investment in the construction

projects within the country. The entrepreneur has a number of companies that include BBH
Towers, Healthcare, restaurant and hotel, logistics Firstly, Al Ruuward Investment LLC is one of
the companies under the BBH Group that focus on the development of quality luxurious
residential projects within the Sultanate of Oman (Rea & Volland 2015). The company has
completed various construction projects and is also having numerous running or upcoming
projects within the country. One example of the multimillion real estate project is located next to
Muscat Hills and Muscat International Airport. Secondly, Khalid al-Mutani invested in the
healthcare sector through the establishment of BBH Healthcare located in Al Ansab Mall in
Muscat. The healthcare offers a variety of health services to patients and is one of the health
facilities regarded within the town (Wilden, Garbuio, Angeli & Mascia 2018). Thirdly, the
hospitality industry is another business line that Khalid al-Mutani has successfully invested BBH
Resort and Hotels that has been providing spectacular tourism services. The main base for the
hotel business is within the mountains of Al Bustan, an area with many tourist attraction and
five-star resort facilities. Fourthly, Khalid al-Mutani has another investment in a logistics
business that offers a wide variety of logistic solutions with international standards. The business
facility with the state of the heart logistic technologies is located in Rusail. The logistic village

Khalid al-Mutani such as BBH Healthcare contribute to the wellbeing of community around

group of companies to run in a more effective way (Foo 2011). These include some of the best

willing to invest in the business. One such business peoples that form the wider support system is
Zaeem of Pakistan Social club Oman. One of the philosophies of the BBH Group is to build a
society uplifting strategy that aims to partner with the community thus forming a community-
based network. This also works through a network of a mentorship program that brings together
young graduates from universities and college into the entrepreneurship world (Hitt, Ireland,
Sirmon & Trahms 2011).
Secondly, the development of a support system with other institutions is important for
successful entrepreneurship in Oman. Many businesses within the country are doing well due to
collaboration with other businesses or institutions such as banking institutions. People like
Khalid al-Mutani has invested in larger ventures due to financial assistance from banking and

struggled with little salary to a multimillion group of company. Struggling to make use of the

confidence PEC score is still average at 12 and I need to improve on self-confidence.
Secondly, risk taking and innovation is another important characteristic of
entrepreneurship that I have learn. My risk-taking skill is still low and this is shown by PEC
score of 6. I think innovation largely contribute to wise investment as Khalid al-Mutani is mainly
innovative construction business that makes a high turnover. In order for a business to remain
relevant in the current society, I think innovation is important for successful business and
investment. In the current business environment full of technologies, I believe innovation play a
critical role in entrepreneurship. Innovation enable the entrepreneur to succeed in risky business
that an entrepreneur starts.
Thirdly, I think entrepreneurship requires partnership with people through the
development of support systems necessary for successful investment. Partnership is normally
connected to networking and persuasion that I score above average at PEC score of 17.
Moreover, a business support system ensures that obligatory requirements are met for the smooth
running of the business. This implies that both internal and external networks are important for
ensuring emotional support hence good management. Partnership with other business entities
plays an important role in outsourcing of some materials that needed for continuity of business
operation. Starting and managing business requires formation of business investments related
network with other business institutions that are part of the business community. Personally, my
quest for information is high as represented by PEC score of 23.
I have learned to be committed at work and my commitment PEC score is 23 showing
how I can be committed entrepreneur at work. Being committed to working as an entrepreneur

play role in realizing quality result of your business. This has boosted my demand for equality
and efficiency and my PEC score is average at 16. I still need to improve my score in quality and
efficiency as it holds key for better business result. In addition, the demand for quality is also
linked to setting goals that will help achieve these quality result. My demand for equality and
efficiency PEC score 12 which is average and there is also need for improvement.
In my view, meeting the requirement for certification of business investment in Oman is
a key factor that makes investment flourishes in the country. There are many different business
licensing requirements that must be realized in order to start a business in the country. This also
prevents deregistration of business while still small leading to a failed venture. In addition,
meeting requirement entails partnership with many different stakeholders in the business
environment such as government agencies and institutions.
