Reflection
1. What challenges did you encounter when planning a five day unit that integrates cross-disciplinary skills?
While planning a five day unit that integrates cross-disciplinary skills, the challenges that I had to face is to understand the
dynamics of a child’s psychology according to which I am supposed to plan the lessons provided with the incorporating the write
balance between practical and theoretical lessons. As well as with what is going on in our world today dealing with the schools in
WV are currently close due to Covid-19 I have to ensure that I am online when the teacher is on with me as well as the student that
I am observing.
2. How does cross-disciplinary instruction benefit all student learning?
The cross- disciplinary benefits children in the development of cognitive skills, sense of responsibilities, creativity, presence of
mind, communication skills and activeness.

3. How did you select the strategies you used to enhance language development and communication skills of individual
students through the integration of social studies content?
The languages and the vocabulary sets were planned according to the nature of the topic. The learning process is
through their type of activities. Thereby, the words related to the activities are learnt faster.
