1REFLECTIVE ESSAY
The aim of this paper is to discuss the five day unit plan and how it is effective in
achieving the goals of study. I have chosen five elements for five days teaching which mainly
include the basic level of knowledge. These include the natural elements alike land and water,
social elements like festival, friendship and family and lastly the environmental awareness. I
have chosen these elements for developing the basic knowledge about nature, environment and
society. I have the idea that geography and knowledge about the earth attracts the student most as
these are seen in their surroundings by them. The family friends and festivities are also the part
of their growth. This is the reason why these students will be able to develop their knowledge
about these elements more than any other things in this world. There are certain symbols that
will be known to them by using colours, maps and games. I will take care of these factors
effectively and keep my students engaged to study in one hand and learn to respect the diversity
and do to follow these negative factors in life any way. Starting from the geography of the earth
and the locality, they will be able to know about their lands and water which are two major
sources of life. Similarly they will also be able to gain knowledge about the need of cleaning
and restoring the natural lives for our own security. The knowledge about culture will be gained
through the festivals and they will gain knowledge about the difference of culture and their
values to respect them effortlessly. The value of families, friends and need for bonding will be
understood by them through these factors.
I have utilised the strategies of questioning, games, fun activities like colouring dance,
painting, storytelling and planting trees. These I have found to be the most effective process and
strategies to increase bond among the students with the teachers (Williams & Berber, 2017). This
also strengthen the connection of children with their family members and friends.

For attaining the objectives set in this particular plan I will be needing textbooks, charts,
maps, library books, computer hardware and software, projectors, class room, video recorders,
science laboratory equipment, gardening tools, equipment’s for games, learner desks, musical
instruments and toys for children to play with and learn the connect between themselves with the
lives of this earth. As the main aim of this lesson plan remains to keep students attracted to the
things around them in one hand and increase their knowledge about those on the other. In this
lesson plan therefore technology will be used at best. As the information I will be sharing with
my students are all dependent upon the online sources and books (Setiawan, 2019). Moreover in
this digital age, the children are more impressed with the technological se of study. Therefore I
will be using technology based resources for effecting learning.
As mentioned in the lesson plan, I will be including the aspect of respecting various
culture and diversity. It is possible that the class rooms will be culturally diverse and many of the
students will be coming from lower economy families. They world have understanding of the
families in different way that may not match the bookish knowledge of the family. These
children will be getting more support from me as a teacher I will be supporting them and taking
extra care. The class room will be free from any type of bias (Fujii, 2019). The issues like
domestic violence that fact the children both physically as well as psychologically will be
handled by me in a proper way. In this type of cases the children coming from poor families
facing injustice and other type of biases will not face any such discrimination in my class room. I
will take care of these factors effectively and keep my students engaged to study in one hand and
learn to respect the diversity and do to follow these negative factors in life any way.
Therefore it can be concluded that the elements I have focussed on these elements will
increase the knowledge of my students and increase engagement with their study long with

nature and family. Along with nature the family, friends and festivities are also the part of their
growth. These will effectively meet the education demand of my students and they will be
acknowledging these elements all their lives. I have found this elements to be the most effective
process and strategies to increase bond among the students with the teachers.
