Abstract
The online applications or apps are very good source of business in the present times and they
provide much needed solutions to daily problems. Kinderloop is an application that provides a
platform to the teachers and the parents to record the early learning phase of the children.
However recently there was a problem regarding security of the information that is stored in the
company’s server. Some innovative changes are suggested which includes hiring more
professionals who would take care of the security.

Introduction
Online business is a much growing sector these days (Dijkmans, Kerkhof & Beukeboom,
2015). Kinderloop provides internet and app based solutions to the teachers and parents for
helping the children go through the phase of early childhood learning (Kinderloop.com, 2018).
Early childhood learning is very essential for the children to go through as this is the vital age
when important aspects of education are implanted in the children (Productivity Commission,
2014). The company officially states that “Child care providers, educators and teachers” may use
the application to effectively document the learning phase of the children along with their
development in the process of education. The application also links the family members with the
educators so that developments, report cards and learning outcomes can be shared.
Customer/Market Problem
There are a few safety concerns that have been faced in the application. This includes the
safety concern about the data and information about each of the student that is stored within the
application data base (Kinderloop.com., 2018). There are many group photos of the students in
various situations within the classrooms or learning centers that can be accessed by multiple
people who have access to the application. This may be a safety concern for many in Australia
(Bhattacharya, 2014). There are also chances of website’s server hacking which may result in the
leaking of many of the personal information and details of the students to third party. These
safety concerns were raised by many individual parents and these needs proper solution so that
the student information and details remain secure in the server of the company.

Benefits of the idea in solving the Problem
Safety and security are the prime concern for building any application that may require
storing of customer information. In this case the personal details, photographs and the progress
of the students are recorded in the application server and the process is dynamic as the data gets
updated with each and every movement of the students. Application based utilities are fastest
growing business all over the world and there are dedicated experts who learn the coding and
programming of such applications. These experts are also trained in the process of securing

The idea which is proposed to be implemented in this case is innovation in the model and
structure of the organization (Qian & Haynes, 2014). There will be inclusion of more ethical
hackers and security experts who will be responsible for keeping vigilantism over the security
aspects of kinderloop. They will be directly answerable to the head of the organization and in
case of the situation where they feel that a security and safety breach may occur they can
immediately implement the required security solutions. The data and the information will be
encrypted before storing, this will mean that only the educator and the parents who either encode
or decode the data may see the information. The company will copyright the photographs of the
student so that they may not be used by any third party without permission.
Feasibility

The company is a digital application based company that provides “documenting,
planning, recording, assessing and evaluating” the growth and development of the children by
the educators and the teachers. Therefore it would not be a problem for the company to
implement the safety processes and to include the programmers who are expert at the application
safety and security. It is a fact that the company has a some fund shortages because it is new and
not very popular, however there is possibility of including some charges for additional safety
which the educators and the parents may opt for, which will provide them with better safety and
security.
Business Model: Osterwalder and Pigneur
The Osterwalder and Pigneur business model is used (Osterwalder & Pigneur, 2010). The
key partners of this business are the educators and the parents who are the target audience to
whom this application is aimed. The key activities are providing the educators with tools that
allow them to record and document the learning activities and outcomes of the children, and keep
the educators connected with the parents. The value proposition of the company lies in the fact
that it provides unique solution to the educators and the parents and it helps in the process of
making the children better at education and learning. The application has established a good
customer relationship by introducing various ways in which the customer can interact, including
emails and messaging. The segments of customers are mainly affluent educators and parents.
Key resources are the programmers, the equipments and the innovative business model. Various
channels are social media promotion and the search engine optimization process. Cost and
spending include payments to the employees, the cost of the equipments and servers. Revenue

stream flows from the charges of using the application by the users (Refer to Table 1 in
Appendix)
Critical Success Factor
The company has identified a very prominent area where the application is working and it
is very interesting that there is a great deal of response that the company is getting from various
parts of the world. The critical success factors include the unique idea of the company to provide
documentation resources to the educators for keeping a track of the children in their early years
of learning (Bredekamp, 2016). Though the problems in the process has erupted because of the
security concerns the business model innovation proposed in this paper will help the company in
solving the problem.
Conclusion
Kinderloop has been unique in its own way in providing a much needed platform for the
educators in recording the growth of the children through the early years of their learning. This
phase is very important in the life of the children because this helps them in growing up as a
person and then going to the advanced phase of learning. It is true that there has been some
problem in the aspect of security of the website but by hiring experts in the field and introducing
some changes the problem can be overcome.
