Essay on Mr Arthur Lessac
Arthur Lessac was the creator of Lessac Kinesensic Training for the voice and body. Lessac
was been involved in teaching the feeling process so that it can help in developing the sensation
which are vocal in the body. It assists in enhancing tonal clarity, articulation. This can help in
connecting better to the text and rhythms related to speech. He has taken the scholarship from the
Eastman school of Music and he graduated from the university in 1936 (Kur & Griffin, (2020).
The voice coach was involved in teaching his ideas of feelings and sensation to the aspiring
performers so that they can enhance their voice tones and body gestures. Lessac was also
involved in teaching the performers about how to feel and enjoy the voice tones and sensations.
Voice coach also took Bachelor of Arts degree in voice speech clinical therapy and he also has
an experienced of working with speech therapy patients. Voice coach was really enthusiast and
passionate for the work which he was doing. He was also engaged in investing about how the
human voice can perform and work naturally and instinctively (Shell, (2020). Lessac was also
the speech teacher at Stella Adler theatre studio. He was also trained in various subjects like
speech pathology, physiology and psychology. In the year 1960, the voice coach also wrote the
book and published it.
The name of the book was the Use and Training of the Human Voice. This book had 600
copies and was made for the use of his students. Professor Sue Ann Park saw this book and
began to read Kinesensics. She realised the importance of Lessac training in the work of top
grade professionals. Soon after some time voice coach work was been taught in over 60
universities and also in the colleges of United States and abroad (de Oliveira, (2016). The
training provided by the voice coach was also been adopted by the children of teachers and also
adopted by the business professionals. His training was really important to the professionals and
also patients who have problem related to speech. Various leaders of industry, military
personnel’s and the therapists has appreciated work of lessac (Bailey, (2016).. They have realised
that work of Lessac is one of the most effective resource for their personal as well as
professional development. Voice coach has also started the eight week intensive workshops for
theatre professionals. It was being analysed that more than 1000 people have attended the
workshop. The participants were from Australia, Japan, United States. He has also received

South-eastern Theatre Conference’s Distinguished Career Award. He has also worked towards in
enhancing the physicalize expression of the people and made them realise the importance of it
(Munro & Lemmer, K. (2019). It was also being analysed that the voice coach also provided the
open ended training so that spirit and soul of the individual can be at peace. His work can be
used by people for the peace, health and wellness of the communities.
