Knowledge Management tools refer to the system that organizations make use of for

system helps in managing creation and modifies the digital content. It helps in supporting
various users within a collaborative environment. This essay discusses about the content
management system and it uses the Nonaka and Takeuchi’s SECI model that can help in
sharing knowledge within an organization. It elaborates whether the knowledge management
tool would be able to support big data.
Review of Content Management System
Content management system (CMS) helps in supporting separation of content along
with that of presentation. The features of CMS can vary widely. CMS is inclusive of format
management, editing of history, indexing along with retrieval. The web content management
system helps in supporting content pertaining to the web pages. The content management
system by making use of software publication or the related programs can manage the digital
content (Santoro et al. 2017). They prove to be useful for enterprise content management

managing of content. The various kinds of functionalities that are performed by CMS is in
relation to the creating, editing and the archiving pertaining to the web pages, press release,

Nonaka and Takeuchi’s SECI model and content management system
SECI model is indicative of a conceptual model which was proposed by that of
Nonaka. It was later on expanded by that of Nonaka along with Takeuchi. The model helps in
explaining how the generation of tacit knowledge takes place within an organization. This
model consists of four modes pertaining to the conversion of knowledge: socialization,
externalization, combination along with internalization. The content management system can
help in sharing of tacit knowledge within the people of “social interacting space”.
Externalization helps in the articulation of the tacit knowledge into explicit knowledge by

content management system can help in the leveraging of content from that of multiple
sources in a seamless manner. The content management system can help the users in co-
authoring documents and it being shared with the business partners can help in the aspect of
synchronization of devices. Big Data describes large volume pertaining to the data that a
business has to face on everyday basis (Omotayo 2015). The organizations collect data from
various sources that includes business transaction along with social media. The data gets
collected at alarming speed and it should be dealt within time. Content management system
can help in displaying the data in a manner that is intuitive and the customization done can
help in making sense pertaining to the data. The content management system can help in
leveraging large amount of data in a useful manner that proves to be convenient for the
business along with the consumers. There are various kinds of data within an organization
and there are a large number of web transactions (North and Kumta 2018). The content
management system can help in finding the patterns that can help in providing the insight into
that of the respective interest.
