Research on Impact of Knife Crime on Black Youth & Govt. Intervention

This research proposal investigates the impact of knife crime among black youth in England, focusing on the reasons for involvement, societal impact, and government interventions. It uses secondary research methodology, incorporating both qualitative (interpretivism) and quantitative (positivism) philosophies, to analyze existing research from the internet, news articles, and meta-analyses. The study adopts a causal research approach to determine the interdependence of variables and relies on labeling theory to understand how societal labels influence behavior. A Gantt chart is used for project management to ensure timely completion of activities. The research aims to provide insights into the complexities of knife crime and inform effective intervention strategies.

Research Aim
“To identify the impact of knife crime among the black youth within the society.” A study on
England.”
Research Objectives
 To analyze the reason of knife crime among the black youth within the society of
England.
 To examine the impact, it will have on the black youth the society.
 Lastly to determine the interventions bring by the government to minimize knife
crime among the black youth within the society of England.
Research Questions
There has been an increase in Knife crime in the UK. An examination of the impact of
knife crime among Black Youth and government intervention.
Research Rationale
This choice of topic is important because it will help understand the complexity of this
crime among the black youth and why they get themselves involved in such that can cause so
much harm to society. This is the topic which is beneficial for the society and work to
manage the data in significant manner (Ajayi and et.al., 2021). One of the basic reason to
adopt the nature of this study is to provide a better function and crime free society in London.
It is very popular in the black youth and its impact are associated to increasing knife crime
and its society with England. That would be helpful for generating sources to work and make
effective growth to provide systematic approaches into the segment and provide enhancing
opportunities to analyse the order and work effectively into the market.
Background and context
As per the view of Skarlatidou (2021), In London, the majority of people have been victims
of knife-related crimes, and trust in police officers and perceptions have been compared. The
major causes of stabbings in the black community that cannot be understood from different
intellectual property rights and will be associated with the majority of black people in
London. They begin working to achieve in schools and are primarily focused on the
significant gang-related issues in major areas. Knife crime has evolved into a drug-related
problem, and it is primarily associated with majority gaps caused by austerity. The primary
goal of this topic is to analyse and comprehend higher harm crimes in various ways. This will

be linked to a decline in trust between London's citizens and police. This research aids in
determining the level of risk that has been considered ethically, financially, deprivation, and
socioeconomic growth for lower educational concepts (Boud and et.al., 2021). This research
provides an insight into young people's experiences, knowledge, and concepts related to knife
crime and related policing approaches in London. This research focuses on the disorder and
mental models that achieve police experts. A structure approach is beneficial for people's risk
and perception, worries, and needs to manage, particularly regarding policy fairness and
making effective solutions for knife crime issues in various ways. All of this is related to
shrinking the function size and achieving the major perspective to work as knife crime
characteristics and turning the major phase in analysing the technique and achieving different
perspectives and growth in completing major challenges. This appears to be very important to
highlight the challenge and raise awareness about knife crime activities in relation to various
targets and initiatives that are unaware of their existence in society (Understanding Knife

As per the view of Khan (2021), there are various strategies associated with knife crime with
various injuries to make a compressive immediate action to work over the threat and make
safety purpose by the knife crime in London. Since 2008, there has been an increase in knife
crime across the country. The section that falls under the category of having a blade or point
in public, threatening with that instrument in public. Possession of an offensive weapon and
the threat of using that offensive weapon on another person. The London police department
considers crime and takes various actions related to oversight, convening, and developing a
multi-agency partnership approach in various ways (Mosechkin, 2021). Some of the most
significant actions taken by the London police are related to identifying and punishing
lawbreakers. Offering various ways out of crime and attempting to keep a lethal weapon for
generating off to the streets. The police take all of these measures to eliminate or lessen the
impact of knife crime. These strategies are beneficial to the society's growth and perspective,
and they achieve various diversion schemes for gang enforcement in vulnerable people facing
major challenges and from the perspective of schools. MOPAC, which derives the meaning
of metropolitan police on behalf of London police and holds them accountable, is one of the
most important programmes that the London police started. This is one of the most efficient
ways to work and make a budget. MOPAC makes an effort to work with and manage the
positive growth in data in order to complete the task from a different perspective. It will be
beneficial in terms of preserving a specific point of view that is used to work and assisting the

individual in achieving transparency and effective data monitoring (The London Knife Crime
Strategy, 2021).
Theory/policy
This topic is important to the researcher as a health and social care student because, if an
individual accepts this negative crime in our society, they are more likely to continue
engaging in the behaviour that the label was intended to control in the first place. This
researcher chose labelling theory for completion because it is related to criminology and
states that people come to identify and behave in ways that reflect how others label them
(Paterson, 2021). This theory is useful in describing someone as a criminal, which may cause
the person to become negative and act out for the individual's personal growth. The
researcher use the labelling theory to provide a significant growth and accomplish the major
challenges to work effectively into the market and make sure for challenging growth to
modern in systematic growth for publishing in systematic order and achieve public
management practices into the market.
Methodology
To carry out this research, the researcher is considering using secondary research
methodology, which entails the study of summaries and the collation of any type of existing
research related to the chosen topic. In addition, in order to conduct secondary research, the
researcher will employ both qualitative and quantitative philosophies. The interpretivism
philosophy will be used by the researcher in the qualitative research because it is based on the
principles of performing specific roles in order to observe the social world (Skarlatidou and
et.al., 2021). In contrast, positivism philosophies are preferred by researchers for quantitative
research because they aid in the collection of data that contains factual knowledge and
specific observations. Secondary data is gathered through the use of the internet, news,
articles, and meta-analysis. For effective secondary data collection, the researcher chose the
internet.
Causal Research
It is a study that may leads to an approach that is based on interdependence. To determine the
causality, it is necessary to work on and manage the systematic growth of the data in order to
analyse it in various ways that may be detected. It is one of the most effective and conclusive
studies because it allows the researcher to investigate the cause and effect relationship when
dealing with two different variables (Williams and Squires, 2021). The main reason for

selecting this function is that it helps in working with different concepts when using
qualitative research methods.
Completion Plan
In order to complete this project, researcher use the Gantt chart which is helpful for managing
and organising the demand to complete effective process in significant manner. This method
is helpful for completing all the activities on time and as per the decided targeted dates.
Which is beneficial for the researcher to work effectively in appropriate time period. Gantt
chart provide the significant directions and process to accomplish the major challenges which
are prevailed within the research (Williams and Squires, 2021).
