Objectives
To develop understanding relating to the concept of COVID and its relation with hospitality sector.
To evaluate the changes brought within working condition of Marriott because of current pandemic.
To examine the impact of these changes over the working and profitability of Marriott.
To recommend some of the changes to Marriott with help of which the changes can be adapted
easily.

In the views of Karim and et.al., (2020) the pandemic has affected the working of the
companies all over the world to a great extent.
Due to the pandemic the working of many of the companies was shut down and this
was affected the overall efficiency of the company in a great manner.
When the companies were not allowed to work in better way than this will be affecting
the efficiency of the company and its profitability as well.

Element Description
Research type The type of research selected for the present study based on impact of COVID on Marriott
will be qualitative. This will be selected because it will enhance the theoretical knowledge
of the researcher relating to topic of research.
Research approach The inductive approach will be selected in order to analyse the impact of pandemic over
working of hospitality sector. It is selected because this approach focuses on developing
aim and objectives which provides a base for research to be completed in better manner.
Research philosophy The philosophy use in present case will be interpretivism as it does not include the
numeric information and is based on theoretical aspect only.
Data collection The data will be gathered from the secondary sources only which will be including the
books, journal, articles and other published sources relating to research topic.
Data analysis The gathered data will be analysed with help of secondary sources will be evaluated on
basis of thematic analysis wherein different themes will be prepared and analysis will be
done.
