Introduction
Knowledge management is the procedure of acquiring, generating, accumulating, using as well
as managing the knowledge in efficient manner which helps in benefiting the companies to gain
competitive advantage to sustain in the competitive environment. Therefore, it is the
standardized process to allocating, distributing the knowledge so that it will be distributed to the
right person, in right time as well as in right manner (Dalkir, 2017). The knowledge management
strategy provides support to the top authority in adopting the effective practices of knowledge
management. Knowledge management contains efficient human skills, abilities, creativity as
well as abilities in individual for the management of knowledge effectively (Hislop et al., 2018).
In this report, the article titled “The impact of knowledge management on job satisfaction."
Which is written by Kianto, Aino, Mika Vanhala, and Pia Heilmann 2016 article is selected. The
objective of the paper is to understand the management of knowledge management, transferring
of knowledge and model of knowledge used by the organization. The paper also provides the
information about the influence of knowledge management on the satisfaction of job. In this
various practices which is adopted by the organization for effective management of knowledge is
discussed and factors which helps in enhancing the job satisfaction among the employees of
organization.

According to Kianto, Vanhala and Heilmann the most significant means of production for the
organization are all intangible factors. Therefore the views which all are related to the knowledge
based have greater significance on the behavior, skills, knowledge as well as human capital of
the organization. The researchers also believe that management of knowledge is all about
developing, allocating and generating appropriate environment of knowledge in the corporation.
However, Donate & Pablo says that Knowledge management also helps in encouraging the
employees of the organization to use and transfer their knowledge as well as to use the
knowledge model to enhancing and managing knowledge so that profitability of the organization
(Donate & Pablo, 2015). In study researchers defines that job satisfaction is considered the extent

in which the person is satisfied or dissatisfied from the duties as well as responsibilities of the
job. Therefore, from the researcher’s perspective the job satisfaction is interlinked with the
psychological well being of the person.
The objective of the study is to find the affects of knowledge management in the job satisfaction
of the employees. In this study various factors such as transferring of knowledge and models of
knowledge is considered because it helps in satisfying the person as well as leads the
organization to gain competitive advantage (Kianto et al., 2016). In study researchers also
describe the practices for enhancing and lead the greater and better management of knowledge.
The researchers demonstrate that influence of knowledge management for satisfying the
employees in the job is considered major problem in the organization and not many of the study
is conducted to find the impact of this subject matter in the organization. Therefore, in present
time organization use various approaches for transferring the knowledge so that better outcomes
can be achieved (Santoro et al., 2018). Most of the companies also use various model, so that
efficient management and transfer of knowledge will be accomplished in the organization.
Research Methods
The study is conducted by using the primary approach; the data is gathered through all the
workers which are in the municipal organization situated in South-eastern Finland. The
researchers developed the questionnaire for taking the survey, in this study researchers also takes
survey from public governmental corporation. In this study researches selected five sectors for
providing accurate information about the subject matter which includes Administration, health,
social, business service as well as all the services which are related to the Technical and
environmental factors (Kianto et al., 2016). Therefore, 824 taken as the sample size, the
researchers divided the respondents according to various factors which includes “61%” of the
respondents were the general human resources of the organization, “19%” of the respondents
were highly experts, “12%”of the respondents were leaders and supervisors, “6%” of them were
directors of the department and “2%” of them were top managers. In study these areas were also
divided according to the demographics that are out of all the respondents “76.5%” of them were
Women as well as “23.5%” of the m were men.
In this study for measuring the data of various factors researchers used several approaches and

factors on the scale that is “1-7” in which “ 1 represent totally disagree and 7 represent totally
agree” . Therefore, the items are selected through the “Organizational Renewal Capability
Inventory” survey (Kianto et al., 2016). The measurement of job satisfaction is done by using the
method of three-item composite. The measures of job satisfaction are focused on the particular
factors related to the satisfaction such as pay structure, better management of knowledge,
knowledge transferring. To get the accurate results the researchers also developed variables
which include tenure of the respondents, age, skills, and duties performed in the job.
Research Findings
“Partial least square” is used for analyzing as well as to keep the accuracy and reliability of the
study. In this correlation method is also used for measuring the relationship of knowledge
management, knowledge sharing as well as knowledge model with the job satisfaction
(Omotayo, 2015). The findings demonstrate that procedure of knowledge management has
significant influence regarding the satisfaction of employees in the job. The researchers also find
that effective managing of knowledge, sharing of ideas leads positive influence in the job
satisfaction. The model used by the organization results in effective management and motivates
the employees to enhance their knowledge. Therefore, study also revealed that acquiring
knowledge as well as creating knowledge does not have influence in the job satisfaction (Kianto
et al., 2016). There are issues in the organization which leads problem in using the model so that
knowledge is managed efficiently which includes attitudes of the employees, trust, inadequate
leadership as well as inappropriate support from the co-workers.
The findings also includes that knowledge transferring approach is considered the significant
factor well-being of the employees in the organization. Therefore, knowledge retention is
considered the major issue which is faced in sharing the knowledge. Knowledge management is
considered major factor in developing the positive attitudes in the organization as well as among
the middle level employees (Kianto et al., 2016). Therefore aspects of knowledge management
play a significant role in motivating the employees at higher level so that employees can be
encouraged to work efficiently in the organization because it helps in developing the sense of
developing, team work as well as positive environment in the organization. The cultural diversity
is considered the major issue in managing the knowledge because of differences in the behavior,
attitudes of the diverse employees in the organization (Grover & Froese, 2016). Researchers

demonstrate that organization should develop various strategies for effective management of
culture so that knowledge modeling can be utilized optimally.
Research Conclusion
From the study researchers conclude that knowledge management is important in the
organization. The organizations use various strategies and model so that knowledge is managed
in effective manner. Researcher concludes that sharing of knowledge is important to motivate the
employees in the organization (Kianto et al., 2016). Therefore, there are various issues in
managing knowledge which includes behavior of the employees, trust, cultural diversity as well
as knowledge retention. Knowledge management is considered the major factor and significant
driver of creating the value among the employees as well as in society and to get succession in
the competitive environment (Inkinen, 2016). Researchers also finds that study has the positive
influence on the job satisfaction of the employees in organization.
The study also has implications for the mangers of organization because it provides the
information about the knowledge management, issues which influence ineffective management.
This research helps in encouraging the practitioners to develop efficient knowledge management
practices as well as approaches so that knowledge of the employees can be improved and more
sharing of knowledge is done in the organization according the capabilities and requirements of
the employees. Researchers also conclude that study lacks with the empirical measurement and
analysis of the work performance, to provide accurate information about the influence of
knowledge management in work performance (Kianto et al., 2016).
Relevancy
The study is considered relevant because it provide the information about the impact of
knowledge management in satisfaction level of employees. This also provides several issues
regarding the effective management of knowledge. This is helpful because it gives information
about the importance of knowledge management in the organization and factors which should be
managed so that employees of the organization gets motivated to work efficiently (Kianto et al.,
2016). The study is highly relevant because of suggesting using the model of knowledge so that
knowledge can be shared according to the skills, abilities as well as capabilities of the
employees. This research also supports the individual to use knowledge in optimum manner.

Conclusion
From the above it is concluded that knowledge management is considered the approach of
creating, managing, sharing as well as using various model for organizing the knowledge so that
business operations is conducted in efficient manner. The purpose of the report is to find the
influence of knowledge management on job satisfaction. The research also focused on other
aspects such as knowledge sharing and knowledge modeling. The findings revealed that
knowledge management influence job satisfaction in positive manner. Therefore, it is important
to manage knowledge in organization by sharing and using model, this help organization to gain
competitive advantage over competitors.
