Introduction
Knowledge management is considered to be a process based on the creation, sharing,
usage and proper management of the levels of knowledge as well as information of the
organization. This is considered to be a multidisciplinary approach that helps in the
achievement of the organizational objectives and using the knowledge in the best way
(Donate and de Pablo 2015). The report will be based on the analysis of the ways by which
an organization has been able to make effective use of this knowledge in order to maintain
the operations in an effective way.
About the content of the report
The report will be related to an organization named “Muscat Municipality in Sultanate
of Oman”. The challenges that are being faced by the organization will be the most
significant part of the analysis that will be made in the report in detail. The Muscat
Municipality was developed in the early twenties when administrative organizations had first
started their operations. The municipal council is a part of the developed municipality and
different branches of the municipality as well. The basics are considered to be important for
the municipal laws that have been developed and implemented (Mm.gov.om 2019).
The research that will be made in the organization will be based on the ways by which
knowledge can be gained and the literature that is relevant to the development of knowledge
management system. The process of knowledge management is considered to be important
for the proper analysis of the issues that are faced by the organization that is selected for
analysis. The critical evaluation will be related to concept related to proper knowledge
management process and the proper implementation of these concepts in order to resolve the
issues that are faced by the organization in the course of its operations. The recommendations
will be provided with respect to the case situation and the issues that are faced by the

organization. The solutions that are related to the operations of the Muscat Municipality will
be a part of the conclusion that will be developed as a part of the report.
The report will also provide a detailed analysis based on the implementation of two
major open source based applications or the tools that are a part of proper knowledge
management. The two major knowledge management tools that will be analysed in the report
are Zendesk and Bitrix24. The analysis will be able to provide a detailed picture based on the
ways of usage of the two open source based knowledge management tools.
Conclusion
The analysis in the report will be thereby be able to provide a detailed picture of the
ways by which the organization is able to maintain its operations by solving the issues with
the help of proper knowledge management based activities. The role that is played by the
knowledge levels of the organization in proper development of organizational operations and
solving various issues will be an important part of the analysis that will be made in the report.
