This assignment describes knowledge management and also describes phases that come
under knowledge management and helps in solving a problem related to organization. For
this different methods and actions are used. The assignment also describes frames that are
related to the airline, horse and student and it also describes opinion about generalist. The
assignment also contains different approaches which are describing the issues of employees
facing by them in the organization. All these points are described in this assignment.
This assignment describes knowledge management and also describes phases that come
under knowledge management and helps in solving a problem related to organization. For
this different methods and actions are used. The assignment also describes frames that are
related to the airline, horse and student and it also describes opinion about generalist. The
assignment also contains different approaches which are describing the issues of employees
facing by them in the organization. All these points are described in this assignment.

In this question, problem is related to employee growth and reward. Employees think that
they not getting any reward and growth as per their performance. Sometimes company also
not provide them to become productive and creative, and they also feel that company is not
providing them rewards on the basis of their performance. The following techniques are used
to provide a solution to these problems.
Solution: For solving these types of problems different approaches are used which are
described in the assignment. These techniques help in understanding the problems which are
faced by employees in the organizations. These techniques also describes that how an
employee can deal with these issues and get good reward on basis of performances. All these
points are mentioned in these techniques.
1) Brainstorm technique: This process is used to make decision in group. This process
also helps in solving many organization problems. This method is used in analyzing
employee’s creativity for providing the rewards on the basis of employee’s
performance. This process also includes salary process and provide growth to the
employees. This process helps employees to bring their new innovative ideas which
help employee as well as organizations. All these factors are coming under this
technique. This process is used to increase the confidence of an individual employee
and due to this employee helps in business growth of company as well as employee
also works on his skills to get good rewards from the organization. If an employee is
putting efforts to give good performance and to increase organization growth rate then
organization provide reward to the employee for his efforts (Seeber et al., 2017).
2) Nominal Technique: This technique is very important in solving group problems. The
purpose of using technology is that discussion should have clarification, and it should
contain equal ideas. It is very important to know when to use this technique to find
best solution. Here are some points which describe the use of nominal technique to
provide best solution. When some members of group are more vocal as compare to
the others, some of the members of group think better in silence. When group is not
able to generate new ideas. In all these conditions this technique is used. The purpose
of using this technique is that it helps in decision-making. Its technique also reduces
the time by providing the result in less time. This technique is very helpful for
individuals and when groups are larger. Sometimes due to loudest voice of an
individual in group other people left group and avoid participation. By this technique
all ideas are listened by head and every group member can easily participate in the
group discussion. This technique includes two key points. The first point is used in
finding problem and questions and define the decision which has to make. Using this
technique an individual can also suggest his ideas. The second part is used when
group comes with best ideas. In this part each idea is presented one time. In last ranks
are provided to all the individual ideas.

related to organizations. It is a technique that helps in creating a group and includes
different types of social activities. It helps in making a proper decision in a group. In

According to my, second approach is better and successful in knowledge management
because usually a generalist having good communication skills and very user-friendly with
everyone. Due to this generalists can easily interact with anyone without facing any type of
problem. To have good skill and communication is very important factor for knowledge
management. All these points have come under knowledge management. This technology
also provides many different methods and skills and all these points are present in the second
approach. So as per my opinion second approach is better in knowledge management.

Implementation of Knowledge Management
Knowledge management is categorized into 5 stages, these stages describe knowledge
management. These stages include learn, developing strategy, launching of knowledge
management initiatives, support initiatives and then institutionalize knowledge management.
Using these points knowledge is described. For implementing the framework of knowledge 3
steps are used which includes comprising of enablers comes in top layer, levers include in
middle layer and foundations comes under the bottom layer (Donate et al., 2015).
Learn and Activist: This is the first step of knowledge management and it provides an
overview of knowledge management. It is used to find the team of knowledge
management and also provides focal points. Main purpose of this step is to provide
the experience of different organizations and describe the way that how other
organizations are working to maintain the growth of organization. This phase also
supports the initiative of knowledge management.
There are many challenges which come under this phase which includes disregarding
of present practices and existing culture. The creation of unnecessary hype is also an
issue and asking for large budgets creation of any proposition.
Developing Strategy: This phase is used for making the strategy before execution of
the work. There are 4 activities that come under this phase which include
identification of assets of knowledge, developing a framework of KM with clear
objective, Preparation of design for pilot projects, preparation of budget and
resources. The first action which is used in strategy part is to form a task for operation
of pilots. The second action is to select pilots. The last action is used to find the
resources which can support the pilots (Kianto et al., 2016).
Design of KM initiatives: This phase is used to design and launch of KM initiatives.
In phase, all results are collected. Then the successful launching of pilots is done
using this phase. Different policies for KM initiatives are made under this phase.
There are some actions in design phase, first phase is used to provide funding to pilot
projects. The second action is used for development of methods and which avoid
knowledge group of building. The third action is used to capture the learned lessons.
Provide Support: This phase is used when the following conditions occur: Promotion
of KM, strategy is made for KM. If these activities occur then following actions are
performed like first action is used to make a strategy it includes two points selection
of pilot by using the approach of other organizations and other is to make a strategy.
