AI Summary
This document presents an appeal to the Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles on behalf of Korey Adeleye, who claims to have been wrongly implicated in offences related to assault and property damage within the prison. The appeal emphasizes that the prison denied Korey Adeleye access to crucial evidence, such as video footage, violating his right to a fair hearing. The appeal argues that the charges against Korey Adeleye were made without proper investigation and constitute a legal error. The appeal requests the Parole Board to overturn the decision, grant parole to Korey Adeleye, and ensure his behavior is supervised during the parole period. The document also highlights that the ombudsman's investigation was hindered by the lack of video evidence and that Korey Adeleye has pleaded not guilty. The appeal aims to ensure justice and welfare for Korey Adeleye by considering the merits of his case.

The Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles
Austin, TX, United States
Dear Honorable Members of the Parole Board:
This is to bring to your notice that Korey Adeleye has been wrongly implicated by the
prison with reference to offences concerning assault thereby endangering the lives and safety of
the prison officials and vulnerability relating to the damage to property. It is further imperative
from the facts that when he asked for credible evidence to be presented to him such as video
footage, it was denied by the prison Gibs Unit thereby constituting blatant breach of the basic
principles of natural justice as far as fairness is concerned with reference to the doctrine of Audi
Alteram Partem which means other side must be heard (Timms& Watson, 2018). As a result,
without delving into the material facts of the case in an appropriate manner, the prison simply
leveled charges against Korey Adeleye about the use of violent force against a police officer
thereby denying him of parole. As a result, an appeal has been filed at the Parole Board in order
to overturn and reverse the decision made against Korey Adeleye by taking account of the merits
of the case and delivering justice in a comprehensive manner for the welfare of Korey Adeleye
(Texas Board of Pardons and Paroles, 2018). The charges by the prison against Korey Adeleye
imply a grievous error of law. If it is found during appeal proceedings that the conduct on part of
Korey Adeleye during his prison sentence has been satisfactory off late, the parole must be
granted to him. However, his behavior during the period of parole must also be supervised and
monitored accordingly (Grattet & Lin, 2016). Furthermore, the ombudsman which had
conducted the necessary investigations was not provided with the necessary video footage in
order to deduce the fact regarding Korey Adeleye’s involvement. Additionally, Korey Adeleye
has already pleaded not guilty but still not being granted parole (Texas State Law Library, 2018).
Sincerely,
Shumetra Jack
