AI Summary
This report provides a comprehensive overview of project management principles, focusing on the Project Management Information System (PMIS), communication strategies, and stakeholder management within the context of the LaGuardia International Airport redevelopment project. The report details the three procedures of PMIS: Work Performance Data, Work Performance Information, and Work Performance Reports, highlighting their roles in monitoring and controlling project work. It also explores the use of active and passive communication tools, such as meetings, video conferences, emails, and status reports, and explains under what circumstances each tool should be used to address stakeholder information needs. The report further defines stakeholders, differentiating between primary and secondary stakeholders, and emphasizes the importance of managing all stakeholders, especially those most invested in the project's success. References to relevant academic sources support the analysis and provide additional context for the concepts discussed.

1PROJECT MANAGEMENT
Role of the PMIS:-
The PMIS plays an essential role in a project, and it is distributing into three procedures.
Work Performance Data:-
This technique is with respects to the explanations and depths made near all the effort
carried out by the project team and executives (Nigussie, 2018). These contain information about
the project actions like describing the work percentage completed substantially, mechanical and
quality performance quantity of the project, and delivering updates on the planned activities. The
WPD also contains evidence about the authentic project cost, the particular time taken to finish a
planned task so on and so forward.
Work Performance Information:-
Project Management strategy should contain a predictable collection of work
performance information. The collected evidence is vital and serves as a direction tool for
directing quality control actions and agendas. Work performance information aids in calculating
the project deliverables standing, confirming that the compulsory corrective activities are carried
out, and contributes to forming performance reports. This method donates to the proficient use of
assigned resources, supports in recognizing potential threats, and perform as a valuable project
management tool.
Work performance Report:-
These are the outcome of Control and monitor project work procedure, and performs as
an input to several dealing and controlling procedures (Castro-Maldonado et al., 2019). As the
term itself recommends, performance reports contain contradictory evidence and information

about the project's strictures and inform on the project development. In certain conditions where
the shareholders observe that the project is not continuing according to the strategy, they will
take necessary actions to confirm that the project is finishing within the approved time and
budget.
Active and Passive communication Tool:-
Active communication contains meetings, videoconferences and phone calls. It is a
crucial part of project communication but can be time controlling in both the development and
the actions themselves (Danaiata, Negovan & Hurbean, 2016). In this project (LaGuardia
International Airport), the project executive conducts a meeting at the starting of a project. The
project lead can allocate the duty of tasks to project teams and create targets for every task. In
this project, the project lead can then apply passive communication with project teams to monitor
development. In this project, the project manager generates weakly status report as an active
communication tool.
Passive communication permits people to process evidence according to their agendas
and is best used to display progress, ask queries of team associates and notify stakeholders of the
project stands. While email is the most usual form of passive communication, document sharing,
blogs, and footages of videoconferences are also methods of passive communication. In this
project, the writer must use working video footages as a passive communication tool.
Explain under what circumstances you can use one vs the other to address the
information needs of your project stakeholders.
A shareholder is a separate, group, or association who may disturb, be affected by, or
recognize itself to be affected by a judgment, activity, or consequence of a project (Vicente,

Mattarredona & Alves, 2014). Shareholders may also delay in the project, its deliverables, and
the team to satisfy their strategic commercial objects or other desires. The Shareholder is
identifying to be a group of specific who are affected by the consequence of the project.
Depending on the project size, there will be many tiers and groups of people essential to finish
this project. Managing every concern, but the project's principal shareholders are vital because
they are the associates most capitalized in the achievement of the project.
