Sports Management in Lambeau Field
Stadiums have been everywhere in the world. A significant number of these fields tend to
offer specific activities. In this case, it has become that every team must have its stadium.
Several stadiums in the USA have unique features that are appealing to fans all the time. In this
paper, I have selected a professional stadium that is the Lambeau field.
Location
Lambeau Field was constructed in 1957, and at that time, it served as a city stadium. It is
an outdoor field that is located in the Green Bay that is in Wisconsin. The track is a home ground
for the Green Bay Packers, which is one the biggest club of the National Football League. It was
informally described as the New City Stadium until 1965 when it was renamed to be the
Lambeau field (Abreu et al 23). Since 1968, the address for the area has been 1265 Lambeau
field. It can hold a capacity of 81, 441, with 168 seats for the executive suites.
ADA Compliance
From the information provided by the Lambeau website, it is clear that the stadium
complies with the ADA policies. It is the mandate of all stadiums in America to meet the needs
of individuals with disabilities (Data 34). The point is that the stadium has a well-designated
location preserved for the fans with special conditions.

Crowd management.
Stadiums have been identified as some of the places that are densely occupied. In this
manner, the Lambeau field has come up with appropriate measures to control the crowd.
According to the management team in the stadium, they have incorporated the issue of video
surveillance (Winfree et al 23). The point is that video surveillance has been helping in
controlling critical processes in the stadium. Most of the fans have been obtaining tickets online,
thus making it control the crowd. Besides, we have some methods in the stadium that have been
automated. Most of the food and drinks related services have been automated, thus ensuring
there is a continuous operation in the stadium.
Furthermore, the stadium has automatic responses and alerts. This helps the management
board to ensure there is efficient movement whenever there is a crisis during the games (Hong et
al 100). On the other hand, security bodies such as police officers are always keen, making sure
no fans can interfere with anything. Lastly, there is a systematic procedure to follow when a
match end. The crowd still moves one by one, thus making it easy for free movement. All these
elements help the field to manage that higher number of fans whenever there is a match.
Sponsorship/marketing
According to, Slavich et al (281) the stadium has several sponsors. Some of the known
sponsors include the Verizon Wireless, the Coca Cola company, Associated Bank, and the
Oneida Nation. Oneida Nation now has large shares as compared to other sponsors. It has been
on the frontline sponsoring big matches for the club. It is also currently managing the official
casino of the packers. Furthermore, it is operating five casino locations in the area, and this
started in 2002. Oneida Nations is on the east part of the field.

Fan Friendly Features
All stadiums have unique features that attract a large number of fans all the time. In the
case of the stadium, I have observed some elements that are enjoyed by its fans. First of the
prices for the matches are affordable. The point is that in the stadium prices are favorable, and
that is why a large number of fans are always visiting to enjoy the games held in the stadium.
Besides, the stadium has kid-friendly activities (Billings et al 32). Most of the families
with their kids have been visiting the place to enjoy more. They have a section titled "Show us
Your Sign" that helps kids to design their signs and the poster they will have to display during
the game. Also, the idea of healthcare is well provided with some nursing stations everywhere to
help in case of an emergence. It also has a website making fans able to access any information
and also streamline matches when the club is away.
Pros, cons and how to improve them
Despite all these appealing features offered by the stadium, we have some advantages and
disadvantages within the amenities offered and the design layout. In terms of pros, the parking
locations are enough with sophisticated security measures. On the other hand, the drainage is
well designed, thus making it easy for the pitch to be suitable at rain seasons (Billings et al 82).
Besides, in terms of cons, the issue is that sitting on the aluminum benches does not sound well.
In winter, it becomes difficult for the fans to sit over these aluminum seats.
Therefore, the stadium has to check on the benches whereby plastic or wood benches
should be used if possible. Also, it should expand the parking areas and even extend some of the
games to ensure there is free movement all the time.
