AI Summary
This report investigates the language barriers that can impede effective communication between teachers, students, and parents within the educational setting. It identifies various barriers such as listening, perception, oral, cultural, generational, and pronunciation challenges. The study highlights the importance of healthy relationships in educational institutions and the impact of language barriers on student outcomes and parent involvement. It also addresses issues like inflexible work schedules, limited resources, cultural differences, and technological access that contribute to these barriers. The report further explores methods to mitigate these issues, including the use of professional translators, emerging translation technologies, and direct language to enhance understanding and communication. It emphasizes the significance of positive reinforcement and constructive feedback to foster a supportive learning environment, ultimately aiming to improve the overall educational experience by bridging communication gaps between teachers, students, and parents. The research methodology employed is qualitative, utilizing databases such as PubMed, Springer Link, Science Direct, and Elsevier to gather relevant data and insights.

TOPIC
Language barriers between teacher, students and parents
SUMMARY OF THE RESEARCH PROPOSAL
The language is defined as the structured system of communication and interaction
to the several individual. The language helps to communicate effectively and share their
thought with the expression and words. In this, the proper language is requiring for the
communication and interaction with the number of people that may associated with
social group or community. In addition, the main aim of the research identifies the
potential language barrier which may arise during the communication with teacher,
student and parents. The potential barrier is referring as the challenge which may
counter the improper communication term when the integration with language is
generate among the teacher, student and parents. The aim is reliable in order to
achieve the proper knowledge and information regarding the barrier which influence the
communication system (Alief and Nashruddin, 2022). In one line, the aim of research to
understand the language barrier between teacher, student and parents that may
influence the effective communication. there are number of barrier that may affect the
communication system between the teacher and student are listening barrier,
perception and perspective barrier, oral barrier and cultural barrier. Some other type of
barrier which is also analyse within the study that is related with the student and parents
are generational barrier, pronunciation barrier and many more (Basic, Lokareva and
Stadnichenko, 2021). The topic is important in order to understand the challenge which
is faced by the teacher, parents and student while communicating. Usually, within the
academic reference, the integrity is the main factor which is outline by teacher and it
must be understand by student and the understanding is important with the clear
communication with the adoptable language which may place relevance. The language
barrier may influence the term and condition while teaching and developing
understanding among the student. Due to the generational gap student could not
develop understanding among their parents. Moreover, the research is helpful to know
the complication that may arise due to the language barrier and formulate strategies to
overcome from such issue (Choi and et. al., 2021).

BACKGROUND OF STUDY
In the educational institutions, the good and healthy relationship is the major aspect
which is followed and it is top factor in the positive student outcome. In this, the student
and their parents faces the issue or seem reluctant to take participation in the building of
effective relationship or the term of communication with the teacher and student which
may create impact in the productivity. It is rare that the parents do not show any interest
or do not want to take participation in the child education (Khasawneh, 2021). In the
context with parents, they usually have desire or wish to take contribution and
participation in the child school function and making coordination and communication
with the educator or teacher to known the academic performance of their child but due
to the uncertain significant barrier which majorly include the work schedule that does not
allow the parents to meet their child teacher and also teacher do not meet with the child
parents which create the aspect of language barrier. Reaching to the family is usually
started with the meeting where they are emotionally. In addition, they are usually varied
feeling regarding the family school partnership and other priorities which is like health
issue in their lives (Koh, Hoon and Haji-Othman, 2021).
In this, some of the barrier which is applicable between the teacher, student and
parents are unspoken expectation about the family engagements, inflexible work
schedule and late night working which may influence the communication with child and
do not provide enough time to track the academic performance of child as well as
teacher also do not coordinated with the parents regarding the child. In this, the limited
resource is also an issue which be influence the communication, the shared and
complicated custodial situation which also raise the issue of language barrier, cultural
difference and the immigration concern for the foreign student who don’t have native
English as primary language that may arise the issue with language barriers (Lawal,
2021). In addition, the parents work demand and the lack of time to track child and meet
with teacher for their excellence or failure. In addition, the parent level of English
proficiency also creates the barrier to understand the academic approach of child and
provide them path for the better way. In this, the last barrier is occurring due to the
advancement in the technology and educational institution are majorly taking the
approach of advancement in the schooling and parents have limited access towards the

technology which may also generate the barrier to teacher and student (Leung and et.
al., 2021).
In addition, there are some of the ways which is used in order to eliminate the issue
of language barrier while communicating with the teacher and student. In this, using of
professional translator for the English or using the emerging technology like various
software and application with the translation feature. It is most obvious that the educator
takes in order to ensure that a professional translator or the interpreter is usually
including some of the aspect that is related with the parent- teacher meeting (Ricklefs,
2021). In this, the teacher also tries to make translation of language which is important
notice or the document that are sent out of the parents. Moreover, to reduce the
language barrier the direct language is also influential in order to avoid the educational
jargon, idioms, language which is based on the figurative language and expression
which show the aspect of meaning when student or parents want to communicate with
the teacher. The motivation and inspiration towards the student is essential that
encourage to enhance the academic excellence. In addition, in various of educational
institute, teacher usually communicate when the student usually misbehaves or do any
misconduct. In this avoid communicating to parents when the child is doing something
misconduct or something negative. Be focus on the body language and appreciate for
their good work also and provide proper feedback to the parents that encourage child to
perform work and reduce the language barrier between teacher, student and parents
(Roubalová, Králik and Kondrla, 2021).
METHODOLOGY
Research methodology is defined as the specific process or procedure that used to
identify, select process and analyse the information which is related with the chosen
topic which is taken under the process of research. In this, the research process is
defined as the process of tool and technique that help to generate the aspect which is
cumulative and show the prospect of evidence based data (Stamatis and Chatzinikola,
2021).
Search strategy: The search strategy provides the outline of key website and
aspect which is taking into the measurement for the review of article and collected the
best suited data that may generate the potential of relevance in the term of information

that is related with the chosen topic. In this, the major of search strategy that is
evaluated in order to collected and gather the information is associated from the
PubMed, springer Link, Science direct and Elsevier. These are functional and
collaborative search strategy platform which is helpful in order to provide the quality
based data and information which is related with the chosen topic for the research
(Triventi, Vlach and Pini, 2021).
Database used: In this, the database also plays functional role in order to collect
the reliable information from the number of article which is counted in million. Every
database has their unique format of expressing the data. In this, the PubMed central,
EMBASE, Cochrane library and CINHAL is the major database that have wider range of
article which is counted up to the million are express the information which is related
with the chosen research topic that is language barrier between teacher, student and
parents (Wilson and Urick, 2021).
Research method: The research method helps to provide the core context which is
functional and provide the aspect of sense to collect the data. In this research, the
qualitative method is used in order to collect the data and information. The qualitative
method is defined as the method which is follow the reliable context and non-numeric
data that contain proper theories and model. Moreover, they are usually associated with
the observational study and that follow the context of model and theories which derive
only characteristic and properties of the chosen topic. They focus on the concept rather
than statistic and essential data (Zhang, 2021).
