Utilization of information by NCTC
The National Counterterrorism Center (NCTC) is located in U.S., and is commonly
referred to as an organization, which has the sole responsibility of handling national as well
as international efforts related to that of counterterrorism (Lynch, 2016). This organization is
solely based upon the Liberty Crossing, which refers to a modern complex near the Tysons
Corner belonging to McLean, Virginia. NCTC is the only organization, which advices United
States in every little matter that is related to terrorism.
FBI’s New York field has got some information related to a suspected move of a
terrorist from that of the New York City to Lahore, located in Pakistan. The New York field
also contains the additional information regarding the meeting of this particular terrorist with
that of the other terrorists in Pakistan, itself. Hence, with all of the information, NCTC can
put a bar on all of the outgoing international flights for at least a week or keep a check upon
all of the outgoing passengers to Pakistan (Nacos, 2016). Any suspects on the airport or the

from that suspected person.
Function of NCTC with USIC
NCTC performs five of the main functions with the USIC as a provision of support
towards the nation’s efforts towards CT. This Center has been authorized to have the access

particular threat.
Process followed by NCTC
NCTC carries out five of the prime objectives in order to combat the terrorist forces

order to present its worth in front of the upcoming situation is,

be travelling to Lahore, Pakistan.
ii) Management of identities- the NCTC will have the responsibility of having to
check the identities of all the passengers availing the flight as well as the on the
ports for a reason that the person might even leave the nation with the utilization
of the seaways.
iii) Sharing of information- NCTC ensures the fact that the other existing agencies
having the possession of CT missions shall have the access to the receiving of
intelligence, which is needed for the accomplishment of the particularly assigned
activities.

iv) Management of National Intelligence- NCTC’s responsibility of integrating the
CT missions within the functions related to the intelligence, activities as well as
disciplines for achieving the unity related effort as well as the effect.
v) Planning of strategic Operation- NCTC also has the inclusion of statutory
responsibility of conducting operational management, which is completely
dependent upon the strategies. The operational management is completely

Role of NCTC
