Introduction-
Leadership is considered as the capability of a person to guide others or the process through
which an individual or leader can influence others in order so that they can accomplish their
goals and objectives. The leader also helps in directing an organization in being cohesive and
coherent. A good leader always stays three steps ahead of others. Leadership involves a lot of
responsibility that expands beyond the personal development or the material gain. Leadership
involves unresolved conflicts and possesses a higher value which helps in bringing difference in
the lives of the people. In this report the leadership values shall be discussed that a leader must
possess and the problems that a leader faces in his leadership roles. This whole report shall be
based on the Leadership on the Line written by Ronald A. Heifetz and Marty Linsky. In this
report the review of the book will be provided and the various reliability factors related to the
books shall be explained. The problems related to leadership and the various types of issues
faced by a leader shall be detailed in this report. In this report the issues that are portrayed by
Ronald A. Heifetz and Marty Linsky shall be explained.

Ronald Heifetz and Marty Linsky the writer of Leadership on the Line and are the consultant and
