AI Summary
This report, submitted by a student, is a comprehensive reflective analysis of organizational performance and leadership skills. It is divided into two parts: Part One includes an incident report, detailing the implementation of strategies and the application of relevant theories, and reflections on observing a board meeting. Part Two comprises a learning journal entry and advice to future students on developing their professional skills. The report emphasizes the application of theoretical concepts from resources like "The Book of the Board" and "Boardroom Chemistry," and requires students to demonstrate critical thinking through the "What? So What? Now What?" approach. The assessment also includes an observation of a real board meeting or an alternative video-based experience, along with reflections on the learning derived from these experiences. The report is approximately 2000 words in length and aims to enhance the student's ability to reflect on their professional development and apply theoretical knowledge to practical scenarios.

ALTERNATIVE TO OBSERVATION

Supervisor. You need to be able to evidence your efforts clearly that you have
tried to source and secure an 'observer' opportunity first before being given
permission to view the following alternative process.
This means, that once you have watched the videos and taken reflective
notes on what it is that you're learning from the information being presented,
you can then draw from this activity in terms of meeting the Assessment's
rubric criteria for observing a 'real' board . If you are still unclear of what is
expected from you then, please contact the Academic Supervisor for
additional direction.
