INTRODUCTION
Entrepreneur or leaders required various skills in order to manage people, resource for
achievement of common goals. Effective communication, creative, innovative and ability to take
risk are some of the skills that are required to start a business. Leaders have both soft and hard
skills so that they can easily influence and motivates maximum number of people thus help in
completion of particular task within limited time and cost. Leaders should have ability to
understand views, ideas of other and ability to resolve different problem that are faced by
individual while performing task. Therefore all such qualities, skills of leaders and entrepreneur
help in growth and success of enterprise in the market. This report is an reflection about
development of leadership and business skills that helps me to get various opportunity in future
career. Therefore, it clearly describe about various stages of development of skill in personal life
that have give me advantages to become successful and great entrepreneur or business man in
personal and professional life. Decision making, problem solving, effective communication and
delegation are some of the skills cover in report for future development.
1 Effective communication and delegation
Communication is one of the most important skills that is required in every field in order
to effective share views, ideas to each other. Most of employer oversees whether an individual
have good communication or not before hiring them as it is required for effective performance
(Aida, 2016). Development of communication and delegation skilled developed and enhanced
can be evaluated through use of Gibb’s reflective model.
Description
During my session our lecture has teach us various method and theories that can be used
to effective communicate with each others. As per lecture view leaders or entrepreneur must
have both verbal and non verbal communications skills so that ideas can be easily shared and
goals of business can be achieved. The session has been conducted to enhance various skills of
individual so that it can easily perform number of task in future career (Griffin, 2017). At the end
of session most of the student have learn both verbal and oral communication for effectively
leading a team or organisation. The session held by lecture also tells about the way
responsibilities and authority is delegated to other in an organisation so that task can be
performed within minimum time. Lecture has also told about various medium that act as barrier
in effective communication such as noise, language barrier, culture or psychological or mental

state of receiver. Therefore, leaders or entrepreneur have to remove such barrier for effectively
communicate and management of team so that goals can be achieved. This can be understood as
specific example within my working in a team where with my leaders were various situations
where i had to enhance and work more strongly towards my communication skills while
communicating with team members while working with cooperation, unity and reflectively
focusing onto new synergy of ideas.
Feeling
I was very excited to know about different method of communication that can be used by
individual to share their views with other people. Before the session I think communication and
delegation skills are already present in each individual but as soon the session start I get to know
that for effective communication individual must have sufficient knowledge about vocabulary,
body language, gestures and medium that need to communicate with people (Elliott, 2019).
Delegation is also big responsibilities as in it leaders have to evaluates performance and
capabilities of individual in order to delegate responsibility or authority to take decision so that
right outcome can be gained. Therefore the experienced during session has taught me lot of
things that need to be considered by leaders while delegating or communicating with other team
members. Here i felt the emerging need of how this skill shall built on wider communication
functionality, new leveraging fundamental for strengthening my synergy of developing my goals
and also potentially enhancing my new reflective work goals.
Evaluation
All the students have listen to lecture attentively and actively in order to get sufficient
knowledge about delegation and communication skills. Thus, they have liked and positively
listen to lecture to get more and more knowledge of skills that have various uses in personal and
professional life. Lecture by using innovative method have easily explain about importance of
delegation and communication skills for business leaders to manage particular team. The session
was worth as lecture have helped us to learn new skills such as communication and delegation
that is required for getting employment opportunity in future circumstances. Therefore, session
was successful and innovative that helps each student to learn more information about skills of
leaders to effective communicates and delegate responsibilities and authority to individual so that
maximum outcome can be gathered within minimum input.

From the previous experience I have decided to search about more information related to
business leader’s skills of communication and delegation so that I can also share my views to
other. It will also help me to easily understand what lecture might to say and explain about
business leadership skills (Bilong and et.al., 2018). I have also decided to teach my friends,
relative about the way communication and delegation skills contributed in making successful
business leaders. I have planned to make notes of important point that lectures have told us about
communication and leadership skills so that I can effectively use in my future career to get best
employment opportunity. I have learnt that leader should know different language, social
background and capabilities or existing skills of employees in order to effectively delegation
responsibilities and communicate in proper manner so that best outcome can be gained.
Therefore, it can be analysed that session has enhanced by learning about communication and
delegation skill that I might required in future career in order to effective lead particular team.
Conclusion
As per my point of view above analysis has explained me to improve my vocabulary and
learn different languages, culture in order to effective share information to different individual. I
have also decided to improve my body language, gesture and poster for better oral
communication and understanding by receiver so that desired result of information shared can be
gained (Loiselle, 2017). From the above analysis I have also planned to enhance ability to
delegate authority and responsibilities to other so that task can be easily completed by
maintaining its quality or better outcome. Therefore, action plan is made so that particular skills
can be enhanced and I can become one of the successful entrepreneur or leader in future. I
analysed that the skills and experiences learnt while communicating the work paradigms, new
ideas and creatively also working onto new ideas there will be higher advancement which shall
also contribute me to perform better in various academic and professional projects.

way I have learned and develop problem solving and decision making ability can be evaluated

Description
A session was held by tutor about the ways or method that can be used to develop or
enhance problem solving and decision making ability skills in individual. In the session the
lecture has taught students about method that can be used to solve particular problem so that task
can be easily accomplished. The tutors has also taught us about decision making ability of
business leaders that helps it to gain competitive advantages through enhancing sales volume and
profitability of firm (Liu, Chan and Ran, 2016). Therefore, the session was all about decision
making and problem solving skills of leaders that helps to manage team and team member to
contribute their best so that company can achieve its objectives. Different advantages of decision
making and problem solving abilities are also taught by lecture to students so that can easily
know about importance of such skills in professional and personal life of individual. At the
specific situation where i had to take decision for advancement within my working goals while
working at project with team mates , this skill emerged to be highly important and functionally
important for continuous efficiency within goals.
Feelings
At the initial stage of session I felt that I would be just waste of time but as soon session
start lecture has told us numerous things that are crucial for growth and development in real life.
The tutors has explained us about why decision making is crucial skills for business leaders and
the way it contribute in growth and expansion, effective operation of enterprise in competitive
environment. Different techniques and method that are used by successful business leader to earn
maximum amount of profitability and market share. I felt decision making shall be actively
learned on within my academic career for enhancing my career position metrics, yielding onto
wider goals and functional advancement within future. Therefore by knowing all such
information I was happy and glad to know that such skills are also important for successful
entrepreneur to run business (Purwati, Marasabessy and Damopolii, 2019). I also get to know
about more points that make be happy and increase my interest to listen to lecture such as
different individual have different abilities to take decision. Some can take quick decision and

resolve problem, issue faced by individual whereas other required lot of time to think over
particular situation and the decided appropriate course of action.
Evaluation
Knowledge given by lecture have resulted in positive impact on students as they get to
know qualities of successful leaders that helps it to gain differentiate positioning from another. I
have also evaluated from session that some of student were not interested in knowledge given by
lecture whereas there are other student that want to know more about decision making and
problem solving skills of business leaders. Therefore disturbance from some student have
distracted me but due my high interest in listening to point of view of lecture about skills have
helped to develop and improve my ability to take decision. Lecture by giving student task to
solve particular problem by taking appropriate decision so that better outcome can be gained
helps student to easily learn different skills that are useful in future career or professional life.
Evaluating the aspects of this skills where decision making aspect has been widely used onto for
productive expansion, leveraging new relative goals and for communicating new functional
chains for gaining higher synergy of ideas.
Analysis
From the above analysis it can be stated that lecture through giving a task to take
decision have helped us to know our capabilities and skills to resolve particular issue for smooth
operation of function. We get to know about various areas in which we lack that needs to be
improved so that in future such mistakes cannot be repeated and better outcome can be gained
(Bartley and et.al., 2018). From the session I realised that I have capabilities and skills to take
correct decision but a lot of time is spend to select best alternative thus it result in delay as
decision is not taken within limited time. Therefore, I have to work on some areas in order to get
different and number of opportunity in future to become reputable, successful entrepreneur in
professional life through effectively leading team and taking decision.
Conclusion
It can be illustrated from above reflection that I need to overcome by weakness through
enhancing decision and problem solving ability in order to run and manage enterprise
successfully. I need to find different strategies and tactics that can be used to developed and
enhance by existing skills and capabilities for better and effectively results. Therefore I need to
plan in advance various steps that need to be used for development of decision making and

3 Effective Team work
Large organisations have number of employees that work together so that particular task
can be completed and firm can get competitive advantages. Therefore, business leaders must
have capabilities and skills to manage people so that maximum output can be gained. I have
learnt about effective team work during a session organise by our lecture so that student can
work in team in future career (Jarrahi, 2018.). Thus, Gibb’s reflective is one of the best models
that help in reflective about my previous experienced that result in learning team work skills.
Description
As mentioned above an session was planned by our lecture on team work so that student
get knowledge the way they have to work in team within organisation. Lectures have told that
Leaders that are able to manage support and guide their team can helps in growth and success of
organisation. Tutor has explained to us that leaders have special qualities to influence and attract
individual to work as team rather than separate individual so that more benefit can be get to
organisation (Adam Cobb, 2016). Therefore Leaders must have ability to work in team by
understanding each other point of view, decision and preference so that task can be performed
without any barriers. I have learnt about various qualities of effective team in the unit of team
work and session held by our lecture.
Feelings: I have learnt the concept of effective team work. I worked in the team to understand
the importance of an effective team. It is a different experience to work in a team as compare to
working at individual level. I experienced that working in a team is more efficient and contribute
more effectively in the overall development of an individual. Leaders needs to assign various
operation responsibilities to different individual (Polis and et.al., 2017). Team work allowed all
individuals to learn the ways that support observing the skills and capabilities of other team
members. In leadership this will boost the delegation process. I had as great experience to work
in a team. The experience of working in a team has allowed me to learn plenty of aspects
associated with team work. The process starts from formation of a team and ended up performing
for achievement of the overall objectives of team.
Evaluation: The learning about the effective team work has taught me plenty of things that will

support me throughout of my journey of being a leader. I have experienced many good things
about the team work. All members’ part of the team contributes in others operations to improve
the efficiency of other team members. I have a good experience while knowing other team
members. In teams all peoples work to achieve the common objectives of team that allows other
team members to support other team members also. Collaborative efforts are require for working
in a team. I have also experienced that in teams politics also associated with the operations. I
have experienced due to politics in team some team members were getting better treatment in
team due to political influence and other peoples were not treating in that context. Treatment like
getting more support from team leaders and other aspects of team. This was the bad experience i
have entertained about the team work.
Analysis: Team work is an important aspect involve in professional career of leader. Concept of
team work is the group of peoples working to achieve the same objectives which also happens in
organisation where all employees work to achieve the common goals of the company. Leaders
need to motivate all employees to work as a team so that the organisation can achieve all its
goals. I have analysed that both the situations are similar to each other. I have identities all basis
requirements associated with working in a team. All employees need to support other team
members and also to put collaborative effort so that group can achieve all its goals and
objectives. I have analysed that coordination between team members also play an important role
for the team working efficiently. Communication is among the key tool that drives team leaders
to coordinate (Salas, Reyes and McDaniel, 2018). Communication allows team leaders to
monitor and control and activities of other team members. I have analysed that it is crucial for
the team leaders to take regular updates from all the team members about the operations. This
factors drives team leaders to improve the efficiency of all team members and also to make the
team as an effective team.
Conclusion: I have learnt many things about the team work. I identified that coordination play
an important role for the teams to become an effective team. With the support communication
team leaders coordinate with all team members about different functional activities of team. Role
clarification play an important part for the team to achieve all its objectives (Frykman and et.al.,
2017). It is important for the team leaders to clarify all individual roles and responsibilities with
all team members at the time of the formation of the team. In order to achieve all objectives of
