INTRODUCTION
Effective communication is considered one of those beneficial tools that contribute to
enhancing and increasing employees' productivity. It drives the person's attention towards
sharing creative ideas and discussing practical concepts that provide several advantages to a
worker, an organization, or management. The current assignment will be based on a specific case
study that is related to CEO Rob Miranda. The report will explain whether Rob Miranda should
remain or leave with the organization. It will also define critical suggestions best to contain the
fallout from Chief executive officer insensitive remarks.
TASK
Deciding whether Rob Miranda, Chief executive officer of Growing places, should leave or
remain with the firm.
According to the overall situation, the CEO in the organization should remain, because he
is accountable to demotivate female candidates at the workplace and boost their morale, which is
quite essential for him to do so. In the four years, he served valuable services to people, but a few
of his mistakes made their work image harmful. For example, he makes a verbal slip, which
directly or indirectly negatively affects female candidates working with growing places and
taking care of their child at the same place (The CEO Who Couldn't Keep His Foot out of His
Mouth 2006). These employees got the facility to breastfeed their children, about which the CEO
speaks in front of other people, which is quite a humiliating situation. He never controls what he
says in front of visitors, affecting employees' morale and alienating consumers. This kind of Rob
behaviour may lead to decrease staff’s productivity and performance level. Along with this
mistake, he made many more, which drove management's attention towards making him away
from all the legal and official matters of the company.
At the beginning of his career and mistakes, no specific chance has been considered in
their attribute, which is quite essential for him to make as it allows Rob Miranda to enhance staff
productivity. It can be said that in society, everyone is accountable to conduct ethical practices
and behave ethically, which may positively impact themselves and other people who are working
around them. The chief executive officer of Growing places is one of those individuals who
destroy everything because of his silly mistakes as inappropriate communication. In front of the
media, he gives negative comments regarding female staff who are unprepared and lazy. This is

the reason why several candidates faced issues. As a result, they decided to switch jobs. They
wished to work with those organizations where employees are respected, receive developmental
growth opportunities, and freedom to share their creative ideas and unique thoughts without
taking too much stress about what others think.
Delores is one of those teachers who consider or recognize unethical practice of Rob. He
noticed that his tone was not good or in favour of him (Enno, Choi & Fulton, 2021). Just because
of this, he makes strict complaints about Rob, which directly negatively affects the CEO
profession. While providing directions and suggestions to staff members, Rob always makes his
pitch high that hurts employees. He may create a situation where people start quieting their jobs,
which is not beneficial for growing places' long-term success and growth. In front of seniors, he
always behaves positively and politely, which is not so confirmed. He never interacts with
anyone at the workplace in a good way. He always focuses on using key power by giving strict
orders, which people may not prefer to follow. Anyone at the workplace wants to work with
those managements or staff members who may have some decency and give others a chance to
grow fairly instead of pulling their legs. Along with the above activities, he also supports
boosting sales of disability and inequality. Their behaviour, working style, nature and attribute
all goes opposite to responsible and supportive stakeholder, who may always take the initiative
to grow business and workers, instead of decreasing their effectiveness and motivation level.
By referring to the case study, Rob's behaviour and communication practice give him
reason to leave the company, but it is not a good lesson. He has to stay or remain at the
workplace and solve the issues that he created, as it impacts staff morale and boosts their
performance even better than the last few years. The Chief executive officer of growing places
should remain and let others do so effectively, which is important for business success much
better than other brands that are also operating their ventures in the same sector or market. In
recent times, a single firm may not stay back; they may effort to be competitive.
By remaining within the enterprise, Rob may stay happy and drive the attention of others
to be happier forever. He should stay at the same workplace and conduct ethical practices, such
as taking feedback from all the employees about work and the working environment. His
behaviour would gain the attention of more individuals towards becoming the key stakeholders
of chosen company where they take pleasure of important part and conduct word of mouth

promotion. He can improve their behaviour and use a humble and polite way to share data or
obtain so.
Supporting Decisions regarding the Rob should leave or remain the Growing Places Company.
As per Selman et al. (2017), the company decided to remain, Rob Miranda, because it has
to recover its dip stock prices and target. Rob should stay in the Growing Places company by
keeping his foot out of his mouth. By doing its tone down, he can remain the CEO of the
company. The company's CEO has to change their behaviour regarding the company because he
has not had a way to talk with people in the last four years. He could remain in the company
because of his good managerial skills. He can provide good results to the company, but his
relations with the public were not good. Rob must be given coaching again on how to address the
people. Rob Miranda always provides the company with good results, so the managers wanted
Rob to remain. His leadership skills were good with the company, but the communication skills
were not good as he always speaks negatively, which the females and other staff can't tolerate.
He was very blunt and rude with his office mates and that their office mates could not accept him
more in the company, so this is proof that he needed coaching for some changes in him.
On the other hand, Brighton and et al. (2017) argued that Rob, with his one drawback,
has lots of strengthening points for the company. He has a creative mind for growing the
company. He also brings new ideas and solutions if the company strikes in any complicated
situation. For some parents, caring for a child requires lots of expenses, but this is the main aim
of him to provide care of the child by taking financial view of the parents. The company must
see the creativity of Rob and maintain his position for the further creative success of the
company. By having lots of good points, the company thought that they must ignore the
weakness as Rob is a good CEO and good in his work the company remains the Rob in the
company. Creativity and new ideas are a must for the company. So the company should explain
the drawbacks to the Rob of not talking pleasing with the people, so he could realize his mistake
and have excellent and engaging conversations with all.
Moreover, in support of this, O'Brien and et al. (2018) evaluated that Rob should not
remain in the company because the company work is based on the customer's and colleagues'
values and reputation. He has a harsh tone while speaking with others, so he must get removed
from the company. It affects the morale of the company to keep Rob as the CEO. The company
works on women and kids caring, so in this working system, the person should be polite and

pleasing while conversing with others. Politeness and respect should be there while talking with
women or talking for the women. Nowadays, women's respect and safety are a must, so it is the
company's work to maintain the respect and safety of the women.
On the contradictory note Picnic and et al. (2018), Rob has good managerial and
leadership skills, which is beneficial for the company to keep Rob as the company's CEO.
Leadership qualities are essential for the company as it maintains the company's position in the
market. As the company always requires good and hard-working employees. The company must
get a solution for Rob's communication skills as he is excellent and creative. The cited company
may not get outstanding and hard-working CEO like Rob. So the company decided that they
remain Rob as the CEO.
On the other thought, the tone of Rob with others was not good. He couldn't keep his foot
out of his mouth. So it is not suitable for women to listen negatively about breastfeeding. It
sometimes humiliates the women of listening negatively about these things. So the company
decided to remove Rob as the CEO of the company. Like nowadays, women's respect is a must,
and if he is disrespecting the women, he could not work with the cited company.
Conditions for Rob to stay with the growing Places.
There are some conditions which could help to stay Rob as the CEO of the company are:
Rob Miranda is a very experimental person. He always had great and creative ideas for
the company. The company always needed a person having a great mind with great views, which
could be beneficial for the company to earn profit and achieve success. There must be the
company's growth, which could only be possible by the new and better ideas that Rob used to
give the company (Silvera-Tawil Bradford and Roberts-Yates, 2018). He has a different style of
thinking and doing work for the company. He was restless and a good entrepreneur by heart, but
his communication with others made him wrong. He is considered a different and attractive
entrepreneur of the company. He is always ready to help the company in any difficulty and give
better solutions to recover from that situation. Rob uses to analyse the problem in a better way
and provide the best solutions. Rob always provides the company with gifts to be in motion, and
the company also thanks to him for the continuous growth.
As Rob Miranda has been working for the last four years, he has experience of knowing
about the services the customers want. Like the webcam services by which the parents can see
their child through the company's internet site while working and by without leaving their desk.

As he was experienced in his work, the company doesn't want to fire Rob Miranda as the CEO of
the company (Mitchell and Benyon 2018). An experienced person can handle the worst to the
worst situation of the company. He is very creative-minded, so he is very beneficial for the
growth and success of the company. Their leadership quality makes them different and attractive
from others. He is always the reason behind the growth and profit of the company. In the last
four years, he has always given valuable services to the company. He makes mistakes like
ruining staff morale, alienating the customers, and even dipping the company's stock price. Still,
the company does not focus on his negativity rather than a company providing him coaching of
communicating with the people for the company's further development. His working style,
creative mind, and humbleness help him to remain in the company.
Ways to contain the fallout from Rob's insensitive remarks.
Rob Miranda does not respect women as he uses harsh words regarding breastfeeding,
which was very humiliating for the women to work. He should not be biased regarding gender
because it is not a valid point for Rob to discuss. It may decrease the employees in the company
because of his harsh and blunt tone (Selman and et al., 2017). He must focus on his
communication skills like being friendly with his colleagues, giving them feedback about their
work, and having respect while talking or speaking with others. He must think before speaking in
the context of any topic regarding the company. He should not directly or indirectly disrespect
any of his colleagues, including women working in that company.
Another way is that he should be polite and humble while talking with any outsider or
visitor to maintain morale and not harm his customers. By this, other employees get motivated,
leading to the company's productivity level (Smith, 2017). He also says that female staff is
unprepared and lazy in their work and he also says negative comments regarding females in front
of social media, which was very unethical for him to do so. So, he must change his unethical
behaviour in respect of women and must respect the women and their work done.
Rob's blunt and harsh voice makes the staff switch their job as they can't work in such a
company where they can't get respect. He should encourage the employees by giving them
opportunities to make decisions or make them share their thoughts with the company. He should
make the staff relax while working because the stressed mind can't work. He should not also
discriminate against any of its employees related to gender, caste, or colour. It makes them grow
pretty in the organization without pulling their legs. This working style of Rob makes him a

more effective and promising leader of the company. He should always behave politely and
positively with his employees to motivate employees to do their work (Chan and et al., 2019). He
must also solve the problems of employees if anyone is facing any problem, then he must
communicate his problem with him and find out the best solution to their problem. It makes the
employees retain the company and will lead to more talent in the organization. He must keep his
foot out of his mouth and should focus on the growth of the company.
CONCLUSION
Based on the above discussion, it has been concluded that effective communication has
resolved several issues. It has made the CEO and other people capable of working productively
and in profitability. The above analysis has summarized that the organization retained its skilled
and talented female workers by improving how the CEO communicates with other people. He
has overcome the negative impact of their insensitive verbal speech by improving
communication practices. He should stay in the company by keeping his food out of his mouth
and not making others guilty, which may decrease employee morale.
