Lack of effective leadership
Among the organizations of New Zealand faces various forms of challenges among which,
ineffective leadership has affected the business of such firms at a greater pace. Lack of
effective leadership in an organization deals with the inefficiency of a manager to analyse the
skills of the fellow employees and thereby leading to inadequate utilization of resources.
Ineffective leadership in the firms of New Zealand has been reported in various articles where
the prime focus has been on lack of communication among the people within the hierarchy,
unclear expectations and micromanagement. When a manager is incompetent to
communicate with the employees it leads to misunderstanding and misalignment of company
strategy. Such form of communication gap always leads to the building of unclear
expectations among the people, where the goals and objectives of the company is not conveys
in a clear manner. It has also been seen that micromanagement is done within the
organization whereby a manager virtually takes over the role the employee is employed to do
his leads to productivity issues and can drastically lower employee morale. It has been
reported that 32% of involuntary employee turnover is attributed to poor leadership skills.
Various leaders of multinational firms have stated that a firm can improve their infrastructure
and roll out multiple plans, but they would not be able to frame a productive future in the
market unless they are able to analyse the prospects of effective leadership management
within their organisations. It's critical that people connect to the plan and are empowered to
drive change out in the field.” It is very important for the firm in New Zealand to solve the
bad traits of a manager which can lead to better overall engagement and productivity.
