Two Specific changes in the organization:
Changes in the group or a within an organization is very much vital for some cases to
bring stability in the group or within an organization. These changes are also very much
important to fulfil the organization goal or to improve the efficiency of the organization. Here
these two types of changes which can be made within an organization or a group are the
structural change and the transformational change. Both the selected changes are very much
important to fulfil the organizational goals whenever required.
Resistance to bring these changes:
The main resistance in the structural change in the organization are the:
Fear or failure: Fear of failure arises as it is not guaranteed that the initiated change
will be in the favour of the organisation. Sometimes it can go against the organization.
This can be managed through historical analysis of the organization.
Routine Breaks: In most of the cases the structural change within an organization or
in a group breaks the normal routine of the organization. Routine break can hamper
the productivity of the organization and can bring employees out from their comfort
zone. Thus a resistance from the employees is going to occur. In this case motivation
of the employees are needed to overcome the situation.
The main resistance in the transformational change in the organization are the:
Lack of sustained leadership support: A great leadership is required to implement the
transformational change. To overcome this organization need to select a proper leader
for conducting this change.
Poor communication: Poor communication can be a major resistance in the
transformational changes (Child, 2015). Thus a proper communication is need to be

ensured. To avoid poor communication all the employees need to engaged with
organizational leadership.
Change leadership theory:
The change leadership theory which are helpful are the Contingency theory and the
Transformational theory.
Contingency theory will be helpful as it focus on the situational variables which are
important for determining appropriate leadership style for a particular circumstances (Hailey,
2013).
Transformational theory of change leadership is considered as this defines change and
the role of the leadership for implementing transformation of the organizational performance.
