1ORGANIZATIONAL BEHAVIOR
1. Perception
Very recently the film I have seen is the ‘The Ides of March’. I liked the film very much
but one of my friends who had also seen it, used to hate the film. This has been quite an
interesting movie but I do not know the reason why he had hated it. The director of this fil was
George Clooney. This movie is completely a political movie based on the senator level. The
main protagonist of the film is Stephen Meyers (Heslov et al. 2012). O liked the plot of the film
as there was much competition in order to become the most powerful political figure. This film is
aimed at mainly the adult people who have some interest in the politics.
My friend is of the opinion that this film is much more brutal than the other political
films he has recently seen (Heslov et al. 2012) The political flavor in this film is much intense
than the other ones and the people in the films are portrayed in the image of some real life
political figures. The competition for being the President of the country has been viewed in this
film. As my friend is a big supporter of Barrack Obama, he thinks this film has somewhat
degraded the figure of Obama.
2. Motivation
In this section some important discussions will be made on the ways how the best
companies in United Kingdom motivate their employees. Some of the top companies in the
United Kingdom are The Sovini Group, Cisco UK, Baringa Partners, Adobe Systems Europe
Ltd, SAP UK, Bayer, Futureheads Recruitment, ISL and others. Some of the best workplaces in
Europe are Admiral Group (UK), Accenture (Ireland), 3M (Germany), Ferrari (Italy) and others
(Greatplacetowork.co.uk 2018). They use to motivate their staff by providing the best
organizational cultures to the employees. This is why the organizations will need to understand

the importance and value the employees bring to the success of the organization
(Greatplacetowork.co.uk 2018).
The managers in these workplaces also give the best value to the safety in the working
environment. They only prioritize on the well being of the employees all the more. They work on
all the complaints on the dissatisfaction among the employees regarding any issues. They
implement the zero tolerance policies so the complaints can be attended (Greatplacetowork.co.uk
2018). They present the employees with the rewards that could motivate them in the best ways
and make them work harder for achieving the goals for the organizations.
3. Leadership
Activity
1) The trait and behavior leadership theories are the two most effective strategies for creating
good leaders. It has been assumed that both the theories have some specific limitations indeed.
The behavioral theory indicates the fact that some specific behaviors of leadership are already
found within some people (Northouse 2018). This means the leadership skills are inherited by
people and not achieved. However, the trait theory opposes to this. The leadership theories focus
on the technical skills of some people on that particular subject. However, these two theories are
not that much pertinent in the modern context (Goleman 2017).
2) It has been a very important notion to understand the ways of how the organizations can select
and develop the leaders. One of the ways of developing leadership skills is to put the person in
some challenging situations and see how he handles that (Northouse 2018). If he is able to
influence the followers and motivate them to meet the organizational needs, he can be considered
as a good leader. The good leaders should have good technical skills and ability to handle extra

workload. One example can be given of Steve Jobs who took Apple to the sky heights of success
despite facing several challenging situations in the telecommunications industry (Goleman
2017).
4) Organizational Change
Three of the most important strategies for the sustaining innovations are converged
disciplines, building up the innovative business structures and collaborating on a cross-boundary
basis. The innovative ideas should be treated as a whole unit and they should be converged so the
change comes for bringing the success into the organizations in a better way. All the employees
should try to find some opportunities for the betterment (Benn, Edwards and Williams 2014).
The business hierarchy structure should always comply with the objectives of the company. They
should implement the technology into the business operations all the more.
Three of the most important disruptive innovations are the emerging of the new e-books
instead of the old books with pages (Christensen, Raynor and McDonald 2016). Another kind of
disruptive innovation is the 3D printing. The technological innovation is shaping up to be one of
the most important components for the modern organizations. The 3D printers have made this
matter so easy for the faster process. The innovation of the cheap digital clocks can be taken as a
disruptive innovation as well. The shift from analog to digital has really transcended the way for
development in the modern era. This has also been an effective medium for the organizations to
welcome the changes as the disruptive innovations will be cost effective and beneficial from
number of ways (Christensen, Raynor and McDonald 2016)

5) Cultures
It is very important to note that it is extremely essential to buold up a proper
organizational culture within the company so they can attract more customers indeed. The
leadership styles and HRM of the organization is very effective to determine the organizational
culture properly. If the organizations adopt the proper culture within their operations, this will be
highly important as well. The leaders should be friendly but they also should be able to motivate
the employees in the best ways (Alvesson 2012).
The HRM should provide the employees with the best wages, workplace cultures,
training and development processes and more. The reward system should also be an integral part
of the process as well (Alvesson and Sveningsson 2015). The conflict management should be
handled properly so the conflicts between the employees can be resolved at the earliest. The
development of the interpersonal skills will also affect the organizational culture as well. The
organizational outcomes will be made better indeed. The training process in developing the skills
will also help the organizational culture as well (Alvesson 2012).
