INTRODUCTION
Understanding and leading change prepares associates to face the issues and problems
which are generating and occurring with initiating and implementing change. The changes are
generate cause of occurred change in the taste and preferences of the customer needs and
demands due to which company make change in its strategies, technologies and operations or
action of the firm (Al Barwani, Flores and Imig, 2018). This assignment is based on two case
Agfa and Golden Wonder both firm make change in their business in different aspects. Agfa is
operating its business in imaging industry and Golden Wonder is a food industry organisation.
This assignment will be defined about the influence of these changes on each organisation's
strategy and operation. Different drivers of change and the types of organisational change that
impacted by various drivers will be defined. Different measures which will be explained which
used to reduce the unfavourable impact. Different leadership approaches and barriers of change
that affect leadership decision making will be described.

1.Drivers and impacts of change and how it affects organisational strategy
Drivers are the high level of measure which are used by the company to monitor the
business process that are strongly affiliated with the strategic objectives of a company. Change
drivers is an internal and external pressure that shapes change to an organisation. This include
change to strategy, plans, designs, products, services and operations etc. These drivers of change
create impact upon organisational strategy and affect it in different manners. For example,
political factor is an external driver of change which affect organisational strategy in different
way. Due to inflation situation, the management of the company supply its products by using low
pricing strategy which create impact upon organisation's profitability and economic conditions.
2. Overview of the organisation case studies
This report is based on two organisations, Agfa and Golden Wonder. Agfa- Gevaert
Group develops, manufacture and distributes an extensive range of analogue and digital imaging
systems. The management of this company make this innovation, change and modification with
the purpose of enhancing productivity and increasing profitability of the firm in appropriate
manner. It is going to make change in its technology due to requirements of its customers.

Another firm Golden Wonder deals in food sector which is making change in its products
through repositioning to gain competitive advantages and increasing customer base.

There are two types of drivers of change such as internal and external and the changes of
both on organisational strategy as defined below:
External driver of change-In Golden Wonder, the management of the company can use PEST
analysis to identify drivers of change. It is as following:
Political- This factor consist, government rules and regulation, policies and procedures.
When the national authorities of the country make change and develop new polices and plans
then it influence the business and the productivity of company. For example, the health of nation
initiative was introduced to create awareness in individuals about the impact of lifestyle on
health by education program. Brexit is an another political factor which also affect food sector.
In Golden Wonder, it affect the productivity of the firm which create load of the work on team
an individual. If the government of the nation is stable, then it affect the business of Agfa.
Economic- This factor consider interest rate, fiscal policy, inflation, deflation and others
components. In Golden Wonder, Brexit also affect the economic condition of the company
(Bulkeley and Newell, 2015). Due to it the value of the different currencies are reduced so the
inflation will occurred and the financial institutes like banks and others will make increment in
their interest rates and loan rate. This affect the decision making of leadership and the company
will not be able in pay to its employees and team members. For instant, if there are inflation in
the nation and Agfa and Golden Wonder sell their product at low cost due to reduce the stock of
products then it affect the economic condition and profitability of the firm.
Social- This factor consider culture, value, beliefs and taste & preferences of the
customers. In Golden Wonder, the change which is created by the company positively affect the
individual and team due to high demand of its repositioned products cause of less calories (Day
and Shannon, 2015). The leader will be encouraged for it and take effective decision regarding
the growth. The productivity of the company will be increased so individual and team both are
motivate due to good performance. For example, if there are change occurred in the needs and
