EXECUTIVE SUMMARY
Through coaching practices an individual increase their skills, abilities and capabilities
for performing particular job in effective manner. There are different approaches which can be
adopted by a coach in order to conduct their work properly such as conducting fun activities at
class, conduct regular discussion. In order to implement these approach a coach need to adopt

INTRODUCTION
Coaching and mentoring is main practices through which an individual able to increase
their skills, abilities and knowledgeable for conducting a specific work. Through this a person
able to minimise errors as well as it lead to increase in productivity (Dixey, 2015). Their is minor
difference between coaching and mentoring, coaching refers to follow of structured as well as
formal approach. On the other hand mentoring focuses on creating information association
among mentor and mentee. Topics included in this report are significance experience of coach
and mentor, theory related to respective approach, impact of self awareness, effective of
coaching or mentoring practices. Moreover it will also include strength and limitation of
approach as well as it will also define reflective practices.

What learning experiences do you believe are significant for you as a coach/mentor?
Learning experience refers to interaction, program, course and other experiences through
which learning take place. This can be done through two settings i.e. traditional academic
settings like classrooms as well as non traditional academic settings which is conducted at
outside environment. There are numbers of learning experiences which are effective or
significant for a coach because through it they able to perform their work effectively as well as it
will also help them in increasing learning of a student. Some of the learning experiences which
are effective for me in order to perform duty of coach are given below:-
Discussion questions in class: According to this I need to discussed question as well as
topics in class because it help in building effective relationship among coach and students
(Grotrian-Rya, 2015). Moreover it will also increase learning or remembering capacity of
students.
Fun and game learning: By implementing this experience I able to encourage students
to conduct learning or study as well as it will also minimise stress of students in effective
manner.
According to me these are main learning experience which help them in performing work
of a good coach.

What theory/research informs your coaching/mentoring approach?
My teaching or coaching approach are I discussed things in classrooms as well as I
include fun and game learning. This is so because through it I able to encourage and motivate
students to conduct learning so that they can grow in future. Moreover in order to this I use a
theory i.e. GROW theory (Goal, Reality, Opportunity and Will/ Wrap up), explanation of which
is given below:-

implementing my coaching approach I also feel that self awareness impacted on my working
because if I am aware about any thing properly then their will high change that I will perform
task effectively. Along with this, self awareness also help in minimising error that may take
place when I am performing my duty of coach. This will also help me managing my time in
properly through which I can attain my desire goal as well as it will also aid me in encouraging
students so that they can attain their goal successfully.

professional career. Along with this they also provide me appropriate suggestions and reviews
according to experiences and performance.
