a) The system or the process of communication that was being used by the members of the
team is through the emails.
It was not at all effective as it was assumed to be to because it was very much
informal in nature in its nature (Kumar, Lehrman,&Dara, 2015). No personal
attachment was there in the mail that was being sent. Additionally, the main
purpose or the goal of the mail was not being well understood as the mail was
written in a very complicated language.
b) I was not much engaged in the participation. I could have given more ideas into it but I
maintained a distance as I was not personally involved into it. However, I responded to
the mails formally.
c) It could have been improved by sending the mail in the simple language. Feedback from
the people who received the mail should be initiated which will help in understanding
whether the mail is being understood by the receiver or not. The subject of the mail
should be written so that the receiver can easily interpret it and even work accordingly as
per its instructions which will help in achieving more success for the team.

a) The default conflict management style which I tend to possess is the negotiating conflict
style. This is the style of conflict management in which the opinions of all the opposing
parties are being heard and some negotiation or adjustments are being made (Schneider,
K & Brown, 2013). This helps in coming to a quick conclusion by satisfying all the

members of the team. This is considered to be one of the best management style of
solving conflicts which must be implemented when the situation is very much critical.
b) The management style of conflict which was being used within the team is the
authoritative style of management. This is the style of management in which the
decisions that are being taken by the members belonging to the higher rank tends to take
the decision which are being forced on others without taking their suggestions or
opinions (Lowe, 2019). In such situations, the ideas are very much limited as the creative
ideas of all the members of the team are not welcomed.
c) The conflict was not being handled effectively. The decision was being enforced on the
members of the team rather than taking the suggestions from the others. Though the
decision is being forced on everybody to solve the conflict, it is to be noted that this can
only stop a conflict to grow for a shorter period of time. This will eventually give rise to
bigger conflicts in the upcoming future.
d) The conflict outcomes can be improved through the implementation of the following
process:
Listen- and summarize the conflict with the utilization of the bcf model.
Agree- agreement should be made on some aspects of the conflict.
Ask or give for- that is some negotiations must be made for the conflict to get
resolved
Make an agreement for the purpose of changing.

The role of the leader is very important for ensuring the good communication among the
members of the team. If the leader cannot make good communication among the members of the

team, the members will not be able to understand the goal or the aim of the team for which they
will not be able to follow the instructions and bring over all success. On the other hand, it is the
duty of the leader to solve the conflicts that tends to arise the team because of the varying
opinions among the different members (Spaho, 2013). It is by hearing all the suggestions of the
members of the team, a concluding decision must be taken by the leader. This will give value to
all the members of the team for which they will work harder and bring success and the right
decision will also be taken which will ultimately benefit the team in the long run.
