Chapter 1:
The main characters of the Office Season 2, i.e. from Michael Scott to Dwight Schrute; from Jim
Halpert to Pam Beesly and other all have handled the ABCs of communication differently. The
biggest USP of the show is the uniqueness between the main characters and it is clearly visible
even while they are communicating with each other in the show.
All the main characters have different approach while communicating for example, Michael is
very loud while communicating whereas Dwight Schrute is quite the opposite. However, both
have similar bridge building technique while communicating. Commonality is almost nil
between the main characters of the show as all of them are unique in their behavior which is
reflective in their communication in the show.
Constructive communication helps in conveying message in effective manners to the intended
person. It also helps in building and sustaining relationship. Destructive communication on the
other hand is like a claw as it can tear down relationships. Examples of constructive
communication in the show is the way Jim and Pam communicate with each other. On the other
hand destructive communication is the way Michael and Dwight communicate with each other in
