Name:
Week: 2 Date:
The major concepts and points covered in this week were:
In the second week I have got to incorporate the concept of the characteristics of
different leadership traits. The qualities of leadership traits have been covered
in this week.
The key areas of learning for me are:
i) Role played by a leader in an organization
ii) The differences between autocratic and democratic leader
iii) Comprehensive idea of the relationship between the leaders and the
followers

v) Application of contemporary leadership theories in an organization
My thoughts on how these concepts and learning points can improve a
leader’s performance are:
As per my views, identification of the leadership qualities and comprehension of the different traits
would help and individual develop her or his character accordingly. For instance, vertical context of
leadership application would be helping me assist my subordinates work accordingly. I would make
my decision how my job would be individualized with approaching behavior towards the members
and incorporating their response. I would create an effective linkage through vertical dyad method.

In my point of view, I would question myself with how I could develop my
leadership quality through maintaining my viewpoint linking the members’
viewpoint. I would, indeed, choose to be democratic method. However, there shall
be questions how I would place my viewpoint in front of the members and
incorporate their ideas to implement certain changes in need.
From this week’s study I need to follow up on these leadership concepts and
areas to improve gasp of the subject:
i) Team Management
ii) Country Club Management
iii) Middle of the Road Management
iv) Improvised Management
v) Authority compliance Management
The aforesaid concepts would be implemented to the work division so as
to find out effectiveness of my leadership quality.
My other thoughts feelings and comments are:
I believe that the process of leadership development would be taking into account
the basic changes of the fact that this has to be a productive method. Leadership
quality may incur changes like improvised intervention among the leaders. In-
group subordinates are highly significant for an organization since the members
are acknowledged with the specific goal and objective of an organization and they
can even advise amendments in the change process.
I can apply this learning to my development and practice to be a leader by:
i) Conceptualizing and applying the traits of democratic leadership quality
ii) Incorporating positive and effective traits of autocratic leadership quality thus
amalgamating both democratic and autocratic ones
iii) Leading the process of job satisfaction among the members
