The video “What is critical thinking?” states that critical thinking comprises of various
definitions. As per Dr. Richard Paul critical thinking is the art of evaluating and analyzing
thinking with an intention to improve it. Critically thinking could be done excellently or poorly.
To improve the concept of critical thinking, it is important to get into our mind and into the mind
of others to understand their reasoning. It is required to have the habit of practicing to become a
good critical thinker (What is Critical Thinking? 2012). This will help to make adequate
decisions and act as per reasoning is done. Development of critical thinking needs not only
diligence and work but also imagination and creativity. All this not only supports in
understanding the world deeply and helps to become a better thinker but also guides to
understand the proper field and become a better person.
The video “Clayton M. Christensen on Disruptive Innovation” demonstrates the
concept of disruptive and sustaining innovations. Clayton M. Christensen states that there are
various distributions within the market due to the highly demanding customers. The customers
will never be satisfied with the varieties of products that are offered by the organizations. Due to
this factor, it becomes significant to develop critical thinking (Clayton Christensen on Disruptive
Innovation. 2018). Innovative companies provide different trajectory and products for the
customers within the market. Critical thinking could be improved by the technologies to build
innovative techniques that will result in the creation of better and better products. For example,
in the telecommunication sectors, the transmission of analog to digital and digital to optical
proved to be beneficial for the organizations. It states that it is difficult to have better use of
technologies, but if the leaders in the market to do then it will be advantageous for the company
(Kong, Qin, Zhou, Mou & Gao, 2014).
Answer (b)
With the information from the video of “Clayton M. Christensen on Disruptive
Innovation” that is based on disruptive and sustaining innovations the example of six thinking
hats could be taken from the video of “Creative Thinking Model: 6 Thinking Hats | Digital
Learning Assets”. It presents that the six thinking hats comprise of the six factors they are
bright, feelings, information, creativity, manage and caution. This is the powerful and important
technique that could be used to look upon the decisions from important and different

helps to look beyond our usual thinking style and look in a different perspective. For instance,
Gloria works for proper properties, and she is confused about whether or not to construct the new
office buildings. For this, she uses the six thinking powerful hats that will help her to make the
appropriate decisions. This six thinking hats helped to make a rational decision.
