INTRODUCTION
Management skills are qualities which are possess by manager of company which is used
by them in effectively managing the activities of company. These skills includes leadership
qualities, communication qualities of manager which motivates the employees to work hard for
accomplishment of objectives. CU London is higher educational institute governed by Coventry
university. The main purpose of this is to relocate its activities in London (Alexander, 2013).
In this present report explain about, future leadership requirements required by
management to effectively communicate about the move of CU London to nominated change
agents and senior managers.
TASK
1. Relocation of purpose built site of CU London
CU London is higher education institute owned by Coventry University. This provides
the various rage of subjects like Foundation, HNC, HND and degree level. All these courses
offered by them on full time, part time, evening and weekend basis. The students of the college
are studying in following fields:
Accounting
Biological and chemical science
Business and law
Business management and leadership
Computer science
Cyber security
Counselling
Now due to the success of CU London wants to relocate purpose built site in London
within the time period of six months. For this purpose the management of company requires

good leadership requirements and communication skills through which they can inform different
representatives about their relocation. The representative to which they have to provide
information regarding their relocation includes finance, purchasing, Academic staff, students, It
support and customer services etc.
Future leadership requirement
Leadership is the skill and ability of person which helps them to lead, guide other
individuals and teams. This can be define as a process of social influence to some person which
provides support to others for accomplishment of common task. A good leader has many
qualities like communication, coordination, problem solving etc. which motivates other persons
of team members to work hard to achieve their targets. CU London wants to relocate their
activities in London and to make it effectively there is need that management have good
leadership skills. This helps the management to apply their skills to build effective
communication, coordination and solve the problems which arises during the movement of
college. To effective relocation, management of college requires to have such future leadership
requirements which are described below:
Assess complex issues: The project manager required to have quality of assess the
complex issues which are going to arise in future due to the relocation of CU London site
. For this purpose they have to design their staff which easily assess these issues and
motivate them nothing is possible to solve. This will impact the staff effectiveness to
address the problems (Blood and et. al., 2011). The main issue which arise is to address
the problems of students effectively for this purpose they have to appoint qualified staff
for solving their problems. At new location the management of college has to appoint the
staff which effectively address financial, academic and purchasing issues.
Clearly communicate: This is the important quality which requires to have by project
manager. This includes about clearly communicate all the duties and roles which are
required to perform by the staff members of college for effective regulation of their
activities at new place. The project manager has the duty to communicate this
information to all the representatives like financing, purchasing, academic staff, students
representatives, It support and customer service. This helps the different departments of
college to know about the activities and adapt the policies according to that.

Results driven: Another leadership requirement is the management of college should be
result driven. This helps the project manager to effectively implement their plans and
attain their end objectives. It is not possible for the management to achieve these goals
without involvement of staff, process of goal setting, supportive behaviour of staff and
different departments, rewarding and focusing on team working environment. Such
involvement of different representatives helps the management of college to effectively
operate their activities in London within the time period of six months.
Inspiring other people: The leader should required that inspire their staff to accept the
changes and make the plans according to that to achieve them successfully. For this
purpose management has to adopt value based behaviour but this can be achieve through
purposeful, powerful,meaningful and passionate communication with their staff. To
inspire other staff members they have to listen their problems which are faced by them
during such relocation. The management should clearly define the mission and vision of
college to keep inspiring different departments and staff members. This helps the project
manager to effectively setup their college in London (Cemaloglu and Filiz, 2010).
Motivate other people: This is the main quality of of every leader to motivate other
persons to improve their skills and improve their performance. This will have indirect
impact on the capability of management to achieve targets efficiently. To effectively
operate their activities in London, management of college is required to motivate their
staff members and different departments to address the issues effectively and perform
their functions with passion. This helps to build their image and attract the students.
Solve problems and remove obstacles: In future management has to required the quality
of addressing the problems and provide their solutions. CU London has to relocate their
site in London within the time period of six months but this process includes many
obstacles and problems during the implementation of such plan. The management should
have the quality of assess the future problems and provide the solutions regarding that.
This will improves the performance of team members to effectively perform their
functions. This provides the opportunity to arrive at the best solutions based on your time,

management of college to build effective team which solves every problem which arises

of CU London within the period of six months to all the representatives such as finance,
purchasing, academic staff, student representatives, IT support, customer services etc. It is
important for them to provide the information about relocation of CU London to all
representatives as it helps in success of their operations at new place. Following are the benefits
of providing information to different representatives are defined below:
Finance: The project manager has required to provide the information about the
relocation of CU London to finance department. So, they can make the budgets according
to the future actions. This provides the opportunity to properly allocate the funds to
different departments so, they can effectively operate their functions at new place.
Academic staff: It is important to inform their academic staff about such relocation as
they play important role in appointing the staff as per the requirement of new place. This
helps the CU London to address the future problem effectively and provide the solutions.

effectively operate the functions and achieve the desired targets. CU London is possible to
relocate their site in London within six months because of the leadership qualities which is most
important management skills. This skill helps the management to build good communication,

opportunity to the management of college to effectively achieve their targets by guiding their
staff members towards the achievement of their desired results ( Doumouras and et. al., 2012).
So, for effective relocation there is need to have management skills by the project manager and
