Importance of effective management skills
Boots Dagenham Heath way is an organization which is dealing with pharmacy products
for the customers so that the customers can find it easier to purchase the medical care they
require. The employees in the organization are not motivated because they are not being
involved in the activities which are taking place in the company (Sousa, 2017). It is very
important that the employees of the organization are also included in the decision-making. There
are 200 high street Boot stores which have been closed because the employees were not being
able to give the customers the services which they expected. Management has to focus on the
problems which are coming in the organization as well so that the company will be able to
function better. There is a requirement by the human resource of Boots to make the employees
have small activities in the company so that they feel comfortable and get to interact with one
another which can motivate the employees from time to time.
Key principles related to the management
There is a requirement of the management to make sure that they are communicating with
the employees from time to time so that they can create a bound with them. There are a lot of
ideas which can come up in the company when the employees are involved in the decision-
making and the more the ideas, the better decision the company will be able to take. The
command of the management will have to be better so that the changes which the company is
coming up with will be more acceptable in Boots. Management of the company will have to
change a lot of strategies in the company so that they can have re-open new stores in place of the
200 stores which closed down (Tatham and et.al., 2017). Motivation in all the people of the
organization is missing which is not helping the company achieve their objectives and goals
which has to be changed with time. Customers like online services then so should Boots start an
online service branch so that the customers are satisfied with the company as well.
Roles and influence of management
Direct involvement of the employees in the decision-making can also create a lot of
conflicts which is why the leaders of the company should take responsibility and make the
employees have an interactive session. The employees must feel like they are very important in

the company so that they can be motivated for a long term. Employees must also be given a fair
treatment and wages for the hard work they put in to sell the products of the company.
Motivation can also be given to the employees when there are promotions, extra privileges and
appreciation letters given to them (Lawes, 2018). Customers will only be satisfied with the
services when the employees give their personal best in the company which can be only taken
out when the employees will be satisfied with the job themselves.
