INTRODUCTION
Leaders are the one who directs the people for achieving the goals and objectives of the
organisation. On the other hand, management refers to the coordination and regulation of
activities which is useful to achieve the goals(Ninković and Knežević Florić, 2018).
Development of both leadership and management skills are important because these two skills
are helpful for the future career and for the job. These skills helps in building the personality of
the individual which includes the strategic thinking, good communication, interpersonal skills
and many more. This report will cover leadership and management capabilities using different
models and the plan for leadership and management developmental activities.
MAIN BODY
Evaluate existing leadership and management capabilities with the help of models
There are some models of leadership and management which are discussed below-
Leadership theories-
Contingency theory- In this theory, the leader cannot use just one style to solve all the
situations. Because there are different situations which come across infront of leader and
they have to use different style. I have the ability of solving different situations with
different style of leadership. I can easily identify the variables which can affect the
situation and with that only I found out the best way by which I can sole the difficulty.
Transformational leadership- In this the leader needs to be charismatic and
inspirational who motivates the people to become the best for handling different task. But
to be fascinating and inspirational I have to develop the skill so that people can follow my
words and achieve success(Printy and Liu, 2021). I have to start idealizing the person
which can create some influence on me and help me in developing the skill of inspiring
others.
Management theories-
Scientific management theory- This theory explains that the work must be completed
effectively even that work is small. The work must be allotted according to the required
skills and capabilities of the person so that the person can work with effectively and
productively. I assume that the work must be completed with full potential but still the
work I do is not completed timely and lacks in some capabilities. Because of which I am

unable to perform well in my team. I lack in some skills of management which is
required for the upliftment of my work so that I can complete all the task with good
results and help in achieving the objectives of the company.
Systems management theory- System management theory is all about the interrelations
and harmony of all employees in the workplace(Kubu, 2018). The success of the
organisations is dependent not just on completing the task on time and with good work
but it also depends on how the employees are working together to achieve the results. I
work with my team and with harmony and co-operate on what the team leader has asked
to work. I work in collaboration with my team as for doing any work it is required to
work as a team.
