Aim
The aim is to introduce the change of adding the visual story telling as a means of
communication in early childhood practice
Research question
What is the effectiveness of introducing the change of adding the visual story telling as a
means of communication in early childhood practice?
Rationale
The changes in the means of communication can be an effective strategy for improving
the performance of child speech and language development as it can help in making effective
communication with the child in their early childhood practices (Rodd, 2020). The
implementation of the visual story telling is very effective mean of communicating the point or
the opinions of the parents or the tutor as it can provide the child with an effective and attractive
mean of learning that can motivate the child to learn and communicate more effective.
According to Perry and et.al., (2018) the change will be effective in making the speech
and the language development of the child more effective as it can help the parents and tutors in
achieving better efficiency and efforts of the child in making communication with them. This
will be attracting the child towards the improvement of their speech and language as it will
motivate them to speak more often to their parents or tutor. The child will find it interesting in
learning new skills and words by the visual story telling as it will provide them with an attractive
thing to focus on. The child by learning from the visual stories will be able to retain more
information and develop their speech and language.
Methodology for change
The change can be implemented by adding the visual resources for teaching the child
about the development of their speech and language. The resources like the books with attractive
posters that teaches about the various new words and learning skills will be placed in the play
area of the child so that while they are playing they can be provided with the various information
while having the fun of playtime (Richter and et.al., 2019). The change will be managed by

providing the teachers and the parents with the playful fun videos that teaches about the language
development and new words that the child can learn. The parents can play the videos in the play
time of the child so that the child is learning new skills while playing (Black, Trude and Lutter,
2020).
The child will be focused on the visual learning as it will attract them towards the
education, but they should be provided with the visual learning for only a limited time so that it
will not make any negative impacts on the eyes of the child as the early development stages of
the child is required to be given more attention. The tutors and the parents will be provided with
the guidelines that they are required to follow (Hadders-Algra, 2020). The change will be
managed by making the parents and tutors of the child to provide the required visual resources to
the child that can be used by them for making the child interested in learning and developing the
new skills and words.
Evaluation
The change will provide the various benefits for the effective learning of the child as they
will be interested in learning and watching the videos or reading from the book that contains
attractive images. The changes will effectively benefit the child as it will provide the child with
the effective ways of learning and developing the new skills and words that the child can use in
its day to day life and learn to interact with the tutors and the parents more effectively (Haslip
and Gullo, 2018). The change will be motivating the child to develop the various new skills that
can help the child in making effective use of the communication. This will provide the child with
the various benefits as it can be attractive and easy to adopt as the child can learn more
effectively by looking at the resources and information. These changes will provide the various
benefits against the practice principles of the Early Years Learning Framework as it can be
beneficial for the child in understanding the information.
The changes will make the effective benefits in making the effective and better
environment for the child as it can provide with the habit of learning through watching. This can
also make the child to learn from the environment that they are currently in. This will be
effective as it will motivate the child to make the necessary efforts and develop the strong wish
to learn and understand the information by visually looking at it (Cole, Lougheed and Ram,
2018). This change will make the benefit against the practices of learning environment from the

Early Year Leaning Framework. The practices explain that the child can learn from looking at
the environment that they are in currently. This changes are effective enough in making the child
to learn the various new skills and develop their speech and language by getting motivated for
learning and understanding the visual means of the information.
The changes will be beneficial for the tutor and the parents of the child as the child will
be able to make effective and better communication with them and can interact with them more
efficiently. The changes will benefit the child in learning and developing the habits to learn from
the surroundings and the environment. This changes will motivate the child in exploring the
environment and look for the various information by physically performing the activities. This
will provide the child with the new means and the resources of information that will provide the
child with the benefit of the effective learning (Brodin and Renblad, 2020). The child can take
the benefit of learning the various skills that can provide the child with the effective learning and
better understanding of the things that is in their surrounding. The children will be motivated to
make the use of resources that has been in their surrounding and can be used for learning and
understanding the various information. The parents and the tutors can take benefit of this change
as it will provide the necessary development to the child.
