INTRODUCTION
Leadership can be defined as a way or style of motivating and guiding a group of people for
getting work done and accomplish set goals. This reflective study is going to discuss skills and
weaknesses that I have as a leader on the basis of GET test given by me. It is important for
people to identify their own skills and weaknesses because this self analysis can help them out in
becoming better in their professional. It will also interpret answers of questions asked from me
for knowing effectiveness as a leader. As a leader it is important of having some skills such as
risk taking, time management, creativity and others. Further it will discuss some styles of
leadership and their strengths, weaknesses.
Reflection on analysing leadership style and entrepreneurial qualities and characteristics
On the basis of overall GET results I want to discuss all areas of strengths and
weaknesses. Self analyzing can help in developing and on the basis of strengths and weaknesses,
I can develop my career in leadership. I believe that leaders is one of the main key and pillar of
any organization. He plays several roles and responsibilities and they help companies in
accomplishing goals. I want to discuss my experience by interpreting all areas of strengths and
weaknesses on the basis of results.
Overall GET: IN GET result I got 69% marks that shows that I am an effective leader
but along with it there are some areas where I need improvement for getting at least 75-85%
marks. I want to take innovative growth and make my employers proud on me. For that I will
require identify some areas for improvement.
Need for achievement: As I got 92% marks in it so on this basis I can say that I am
good in several areas I have some qualities that can definitely help out in the future in career
development. Some areas in which I achieved higher marks or areas that shows my strengths are:
An orientation towards the future, effective time management, strong task orientation, having
an optimistic outlook. I can say that all these skill and qualities as a leader can help my
company in meeting goals. For example: My quality of completing tasks in a timely manner and
task orientation can make me able to deliver tasks and products to customers with given
deadline. It can make them feel valued and loyal towards the company. Loyal and valued
customers are more likely to stay with the company so, it can improve image and sales of the
company.

Other areas of achievement are: restlessness, orientation towards results, responsible and
persistent, goal oriented, hard working. So, on the basis of tall these areas also, I can say that it
can help my company in taking competitive advantages and improving productivity. Hard
working and responsibility ability will help me out in going into the right direction, guiding to
followers, working in pressure and work load. It can help in delivering value to customers that
can lead to better productivity. But along with this I will require taking care of myself and
making a balance between personal an professional life for keeping myself healthy, fresh and
stressed free.
Need for autonomy: I got 17% in this area which means I am able to determine my own
values and interest and as per this I can say that I may be considered an an important and
valuable person for company. I am independent and it is good to some extent because leaders
have to play several roles and becoming independent in working is important for leader. In the
regard of effectiveness of this skill, I can say that I can save time of others by doing activities ad
functions at my own.
Creative tendency: In this area I got 67% according to which I can say that I can help
company in becoming creative by developing some innovative ideas. Innovation and creativity
are 2 main things that can make people and company different than others. Nowadays because of
increasing competition, it has become important for companies of becoming creative. I identified
this skill while working with my previous company. For becoming more creative leader and
helping out company in taking competitive advantages with creative ideas, I can develop my
career also.
Locus of control: In this area I got medium score or 67%. and on this basis I can
consider and view myself as proactive, self confident and determined. All these skills are vital
for leaders for making followers believe and increasing trust. Self confidence plays a vital role as
it makes us stressed free in the time of work load and complex situation. It makes us positive, on
this basis I can say that this skill can make me able to support my company in meeting goals. Fro
boosting confidence and making my manager feel proud on me I will require completing and
taking complex project and completing them on the given deadline with quality.
Risk taking: From GET result I got to know that I am a good risk taker as I got 75% in
this area. This area can make me able in knowing that whether this decision can be good or bad. I
believe that people who take risks are more likely to be happier than those who try to avoid risks.

Effectiveness of my leadership styles
In regard to leadership style I want to discuss that it is the way in which leader guide and
support their followers or employees within organization. So, on the basis of definition, it can be
said that it should be very effective and appropriate as per the situation of company. My
leadership style which I like the most and believe, can give several advantages is:
transformational.
Transformational leadership: As per this style, I prefer to work with employees and
team members because of supporting them in reducing errors. I believe that when leaders work
with team members as like a team member then it makes them feel valued. Also, it improves
relation and increase trust that is important for getting qualitative work done from them. By
motivating and encouraging them I can get better results. A survey is being conducted for
knowing more about knowing results and opinion regarding leadership. Some questions have
been asked from me by my manager and superiors in order to know the extent to which I am
effective as a leader. Here is interpretation of all answers given by me on the basis of self
evaluation and thinking such as:
Some areas in which I answered as agree are: employees need to be supervised closely, in
complex situation, leaders should encourage or let their subordinates work problems out at their
own (Andriani, Kesumawati and Kristiawan, 2018). The influence of the transformation
leadership and work motivation on teachers performance. staying out of the way when workers
are performing tasks, employees must be given punishment and rewards and appraise their own
work for motivation, in most of the situations, workers seek for little input from leaders and
others. Some areas where I do not agree and gave answer as disagree include: it is best to leave
subordinates alone, provide guidance without pressure is the key of good leader, most of the
employees feel insecure about their work and most of the employees are lazy.
On the basis of answers I got or received 20 marks as an authoritarian leadership and as a
democratic leadership I got 24 marks and as a laiseez faire leadership style I got 22 scores.

range. But I need to improve some skills for developing leadership and getting better marks.
Self analysis or effectiveness of leader

as a leader. Interpretation of answers given by me is:
Some areas in which I gave 5 marks with strongly agree are: I enjoy interacting with
others, I give better information to others for helping out in their work, I am honest for all, I
recognize others on the basis of performance, I treat others with respect. I was asked about my
ability and behavior as if I give respond to employees who seems sad and I gave 5 marks because
I have an integrity skill. I coach team members and have deep rooted understanding of
organizational functions area I gave 5 marks. I found that taking responsibility and working for
company is important and this ability can only help me out in developing my career.
So, on these basis I can say that all these answers given by me was all right and shows
my thinking towards leadership. There were some areas in which I gave 4 marks such as: I
develop effective plans, I am flexible, I am champion of change, I take ownership for team
decision and others. So, on this basis I can say that there is requirement for becoming adaptable
for taking changes as opportunities. I was also asked about my technique and ability to select the
best candidate for an open job position and on the basis of self evaluation, I gave 4 marks
because I commit mistakes sometimes so, I do not believe that all the time I can perform this job
with effectiveness. In regard to developing budget and providing on job training also I gave 4
marks because I believe that I am not good in calculating and estimating budget.
I got 177 marks for all 50 questions asked from me. As per the scoring guideline I can
say that I am going on the right track and I am on my path of becoming an effective leader. But
still there are some areas in which I am lacking behind and will require improvement for
becoming a successful leader.
