This research project investigates the effectiveness of leadership on employee and business performance within the retail industry, using Argos as a case study. The study identifies the conceptual framework of leadership, determines the leadership strategies adopted by Argos, discerns the impact of effective leadership, and examines the challenges faced in the absence of leadership. The research employs a qualitative approach, utilizing secondary data to explore leadership strategies, including fostering diversity and ensuring clarity of vision. The findings highlight the importance of leadership in enhancing employee performance, promoting transparency, and mitigating challenges such as poor communication and lack of motivation. The research concludes with recommendations for organizations to cultivate effective leadership practices to improve overall business outcomes.
