INTRODUCTION
Leadership refers to actions that is being performed by leaders in order to make their
employees either stay or leave the enterprise (Fries, Kammerlander and Leitterstorf, 2021). For
this current proposal, M&S have been selected which is a retailer firm. This research proposal
will highlight various tools and techniques that has been used to evaluate the issues related to
retention of workforce.
Aim
The aim behind conducting current study is to determine the significance of leadership
upon retention of talented personnel of M&S.
Objectives
To develop an understanding about the concept of leaderships.
To analyse the importance of leadership in retaining employees.
To evaluate factors that affect retention of talented employees.
To recommend strategies pertaining to leadership that impacts retention.
Rationale of study
The primary reason behind conducting this study is to identify the importance of
leadership in order to retain talented people within the M&S. This is recognized as research
issue because currently every company tries to retain their significant employees (Khumalo,
Dumont and Waldzus, 2022). It is now becoming an issue because employees can feel as per
leadership styles followed by leader. Thus, with the help of thematic perception test technique
the study will offer appropriate ways to retain talented employees.

RESEARCH METHODOLOGY
Research type
To evaluate the importance of leadership qualitative research approach will be chosen.
Data Collection
The data will be collected through primary (questionnaire) and secondary method.
Sampling
30 employees of M&S will be selected through random sampling method.
Ethical consideration
To fulfil ethical aspects, consent form will be filled by respondents. Moreover, reference list also
will be added.
Reliability and validity
Articles will be considered which are published after 2018. Furthermore, copyright protected
sources will be taken.
Potential risks
Participants and company will not be named in research submitted for publication.
