INTRODUCTION
Entrepreneurial and leadership skills are important skills for a person as it helps them in efficient
and perfect. These skills include decision making, communication skills, problem solving skills,
motivation skills, presentation skills and many more (Arms Almengor, 2018). It helps for career
development of a person and also provide career opportunity. These skills can be developed with
participation in academic life and various activities conducted at educational institute. It also
helps in future of a person in getting employability opportunity. This project report includes
different skills and traits of entrepreneurial and leadership. It also includes self-assessments of a
person through GET test.
MAIN BODY
Entrepreneurial and leadership skills
Entrepreneur refers to those people who bear all risk in business and taking up all responsibility
of business (Carlone and Milan, 2021). Leadership refers to influencing others through external
appearance in order to attain group goals. Both of these activities require different skills which
make a person efficient to bear risk and taking responsibility of others. These skills are important
for a person in order to attain organisational goals and carry out business in market successfully.
Some of entrepreneurial and leadership skills are as follows:
Communicational skills: Communication skills refers to those which allow a person to share
their view, thoughts, feeling, ideas and other thing to another person. Communication skills are
more important thing for entrepreneur and leaders as both of them needs to communicate with
another person. Communication helps leaders as well as entrepreneur to communicate with their
employees and understand their problems. It also allows them to motivate their employees in
order to boost their confidence. With help of this communication, entrepreneur can communicate
with their client and make them convince for their products as well as services. All these skills
and trait are important for me as it helps me in convincing various clients of business and also to
customers in order to provide information about details of products and service.
Presentation skills: Presentation skills are important for a person as it helps them to present
their thoughts, views and ideas to another person. These skills are not always about presenting
though power point but also to have pleasant personality. It includes good body posture, dressing
sense, tone using while communicating. Presentation skills can be developed through academic

life of a person while participating in various activities conducted at school and colleges. These
helps a person career development skill as it helps at workplace in may ways. A person with
these skills can explain their products to their clients and customers.
Time management: Time management skills is one of important things for a person as it helps
to saves time of a person on unnecessary things and allow them to invest it on productive things
(Curry, 2020). Time management is one of important things which helps a person in enhancing
quality of their life as it allows them to focus on important thing in life. These skills are
important for work life of a person as it allow them to saves time on unnecessary things and
helps to reduce burden of work on them. It makes life of an individual stress free as burden of
work create stress on them and reduce quality of their work. These skills help a person in
business as it allows them to complete all orders on time which is beneficial for image of
company. It also allows company to fulfil their commitments as leaders and entrepreneurial has
proper time to complete their commitments. This also helps them to saves time for their
employees and allow them to communicate with them.
Decision making: Decision making skills are important skills as it allows a person to make
effective decisions. For making decision, a person need to identify various alternatives and needs
to choose one ibn order to get results. Entrepreneur and leaders are of tern involve different
members of organisation including employees in decision making process as it helps them to get
more creative suggestions related to a situation and allow helps to get acceptance for decisions
made in business. It helps to make a person capable to made decision at work place in every
situation and helps to deals with these situations. I have developed these skills through
academics, work placement experience and in real life. It improves quality of life of a person
which is important for them.
Problem solving: Problems solving skills is another important skill which is important in life of
a person as it allow them to solve critical problems and get creative solutions to these problems
(Esposito and Freda, 2016). These skills help to provide various solutions to a person as it helps
them to select one possible solution to a problem. These skills can be developed through
experience and academic life as a person needs to develop various possible solutions to these
problems.
Listening skills: Listening is one of important skills for a person as it allows them to listen to
others in order to understand their feeling, ideas and thoughts. It helps to make communication

process more effective. It helps in future for me to understand about employees feeling and their
problems and allow them to develop possible and effective solutions to their problems.
Self-assessment:
Self-assessment is important things for an individual as it helps them to assess various things
about themselves (Tinnon, 2018). It allows them to assess their strength, weakness, knowledge,
skills capability on basis of different aspects. This helps to provide clarity in which area, a person
needs to improve themselves. This self assessment can be one with use of GET test.
GET Test
General enterprise tendency test is one of test which helps to provide opportunity to a person in
order to reflect their entrepreneurial characteristics (Gardiner, Chao and Burnett, 2019). It
includes various questions which allow a person to measure their characteristics on basis of five
dimensions. This test is introduced by Sally Caird as well as cliff Johnson in the year 1987. Five
dimensions of this test includes are needs of achievement, risk taking, needs of autonomy, drive
and determinations as well as creative tendency. Some of dimension of GET test are as follows:
Need of achievement: I had high score in needs of achievement dimensions. Percentage of this
helps a person has characteristics of enterprising. In this situation person is happy with their
work of limited projects with their employment. In this a person has ability to do more to get
achievement in their life. It is important for a person to have needs of achievement at high as it
helps to measure various qualities. In this, a person has dedication towards future and is reliable
on their future ability. They are looking towards optimistic instead of pessimistic.
Risk taking: In these risk-taking skills, I got medium skills and helps me to recognise about my
decisive skills as I am able to calculate success of actions and decisions. If a person is more and
more happy when they are trying ideas with less risk in which another partners is taking isk and
sacrifice to get rewards.
Needs of autonomy: I get medium score in needs of autonomy as it helps to recognise myself. It
helps to be independent, determined as well as individualistic. These skills allow a person to
work happily and work as a valuable member in an enterprise. To start a business, it is important
for an individual to have independent qualities of leadership.
Dive and determination: I also get medium score in this as it helps me to recognise various
opportunity, confidence level and determination existed in me. It is important for a person to
have confidence, enterprising skills in order to start new business and to make it successful

venture. In this, it is important to learn about excess of control as well as development of ideas.
In this self confidence of a person provide them strength with development of business projects.
Creative tendency: In this I got medium score which helps me to recognise myself as I am
creative but same time have less radical as well as disruptive innovation ideas (Robertson, Le
Sueur and Terblanche, 2020). These skills are important as there are game changing skills. With
these skills, I am able to develop new technologies as well as which makes me more skilled. If a
person is wishing to develop more and more creative skills, then it is important to use more
innovative approach.
How to use these in future:
There are various skills which helps a person in future as it helps to improve quality of life of a
person. It allows a person to take more responsibility as well as take challenges in life (Gouthro
and Holloway, 2018). It also allows a person in order to take to get various future opportunity in
life. With these skills, I am able to get various employability opportunity as well as career
advancement opportunity which make me able to do more and more work.
With this self assessment skills, I am aware with my weakness and strength that allow me to
overcome of these weaknesses by hark work and dedication and also helps me to boost my
strength in ways to create opportunity in life. Theses skills allow me to start a business based on
new and innovative ideas and also to get employability. On basis of these skills, I can find a job
within reputed and recognised organisation which is good for my career development. These
skills can be learn in present stage and benefits of these skills can be for present as well as future
situations.
CONCLUSION
From above mentioned project report it can be concluded that leadership skills as well as
entrepreneur skills are important in life of a person. These skills include time management,
motivation, problem solving, decision making, communication skills listening skills.
Communication skills helps to share clear views and ideas to another person, listening skills
helps a person to listen in things. Problems solving skills are those which helps a person in order
to solve various problems occur in their life and decision-making skills is another skill which
helps to make decision making on different situation. Time management skills are those which
helps a person to saves time whereas presentation skills help to present various ideas and
