INTRODUCTION
In twenty first century every person wanted to become a successful person but it can be
possible only when they take a risk. A risk of become an entrepreneur, it is the most risky option
but it will be most profitable one. A person can afford this risk with the help of some
entrepreneurial qualities and leadership style. Uncertainty is present in every where so it is
important that to deal with them by acceptance (Chakravarti, 2019). This report focus on
importance of leadership style and entrepreneurial qualities for leading a business in the market.
It is the reflective report in which personal experience shows the impact of effective leadership
style and entrepreneurial qualities.
MAIN BODY
Leadership and their styles.
The person who integrates individual goals with organisational common goal is leader.
Leader plays a crucial role in the organisation as they have a capability to convenience their
employees for higher productivity. With their higher efficiency and productivity organisation can
achieve anything that they want. Every organisation has their goals and objectives that they set in
the beginning of the business. It can be achieved only when all employees work together and
give their best to the organisation (Chandra, 2017). But it not possible because every person has
their own perception and mind set. They also have their own goals and objectives. It becomes
very tough for organisation that how they can integrate individual goals toward a common goal.
It can be possible only when leaders of the company use their leadership style to motivate and
encourage them towards organisational objectives. It is not just a statement it is analysed be me
with my own experience.
It can be more clear with my personal experience. I was a manager of Sainsbury's
company which is the third largest supermarket store of UK. They run their successfully business
only with the help of their leadership style. Sainsbury's adopt democratic leadership style and
that is the reason of their success and growth(Dimic, and Duric, 2019). They believe that
participation of every employees is necessary in the decision making process as it gives
motivation. With motivation all employees' morale get rise and helps them to give their best
performance in the organisation. It helps organisation to achieve their target market. I was work
as a manager and manages all things of organisation. I use to know that Sainsbury's top

management sets some targets and goals that they can achieve within fixed time. It becomes
possible because of the leadership style that adopted by leaders of the company. They was not
rely on only single leadership style. Apart from democratic leadership style there are more
leadership style that are discussed below:
Autocratic leadership style
In this type of leadership, a leader can convey their expectation that what they want,
when they want and how they want. They are more clear with their goals and targets. It is
effective in conveying orders and command to their employees. These leaders are more of goal
oriented. In this type of leadership style, leaders mainly require less interference of team
members into decision making process. It mainly requires where leaders are the only who can
make innovative decision in technical firms. For an example, new york times was an autocratic
leadership firm where all the decisions are taken by leaders with less involvement of other
employees. When I was working in Sainsbury's, the firm does not follow this leadership style.
Although, leaders are focused on their goals and targets but employees were engaged as well.
Firms like Dominoz, McDonald using this style of leadership to train the employees how to
make their serving more superior with quality ingredients (Wright, and Clarysse, 2020).
Democratic Leadership style: Under democratic leadership style, it is also known as
participative style which leaders use to follow in order make the employees a part of
organisation vision. Mission and decision making process. This leadership style provide an
assistance to employees to make their participation by involving innovative ideas and enhance
their creative mindset. using this style on my own career makes me effective and helped me in
work completion. Many giant organisations mainly use this style of leadership as the company
operations are wider which require coordination and motivation of employees. Firms like Tesco,
ASDA, Walmart, leaders of these firms uses this leadership style to maintain work efficiency
hard work and employees morale(Kurniasih, Yusup, and Kuswarno, 2019). I myself consider
this style for working into an organisation as it provides me less work pressure and serve
creative ideas, thoughts over the decision required. Moreover, many big firms like Apple
reflected benefits of democratic style of leadership in order to grow up their brand name.
Laissez-Faire leadership style: under this style of leadership, it is less used by big or
large operated firms. This style is not much effective as only the leaders take initiative to make
decisions through which others get suffered by less defective work and delays. This style does

not accepted my all the firms as it does not involve employees values and appreciation. I will
suggest this style of leadership through my personal experience to small or sole firm where
employees are very less and decisions could only be made by owners.
Entrepreneurship:
An individual who indulge in business activities by taking risk of production, promotion
with a unique concept of making a business successful known as an entrepreneur. when these
entrepreneur carries out all the operations of business by involving into business practices. These
entrepreneurs come op with creative mind and great personality that make the business rare from
others. In this leading world, there are a lot of business opened and achieve brand name even
into heavy competition. A business is a pool of internal and external risk and that makes a
business whether strong or weak. It is all depended on the decision, personality and behaviour of
an entrepreneur, that how they take their creative mind into the welfare of organisation in terms
of productivity and profitability (Lumpkin, Bacq, and Pidduck, 2018). The entrepreneurs take the
entrepreneurship seriously as it is the matter of their success so that, no goals and skills must get
left out with their own self. Entrepreneurship begins with having passionate skills and setting a
target that the entrepreneur wants to see within themselves. There are great entrepreneur out
there who attains success by hard work and passionate towards their targets. There are various
traits and approaches of an entrepreneur that makes them believe in achieving targets. These
traits are described below:
passionate: in a life of entrepreneur, bing passionate is the first and foremost traits that
makes it capable and motivate towards what he or she wants to achieve. Passion comes from
inner self and self reliance of having great feeling to achieving something. Entrepreneurship is
not an easy task or way that moves easily but it require passion and dessication towards working
and make others work for their targets. It can be understood by an example of Steve jobs, Co
founder of Apple who had face failure but does not left his passion in working. He tried harder
until it come to achieve what he wants which has shown into the brand name and companies
existence into whole world(Ogamba, 2019). According to my experience in working with
Sainsbury's, I saw myself as a passionate workers as I want things systematic and planned. I
showed my passion in managing my work and completing within specific time.
Motivations: motivation is the key factors that retain the entrepreneurs influenced about
their work. This motivation give them power to work alone when there are no availability so

substitutes or any other sources. When entrepreneur thought of doing something, motivation
comes and make them work harder to complete their objectives(Warren, 2021). They do not get
depend on others to work, rather they makes on self available for taking business decisions. Bill
gates is one of the biggest entrepreneur in the world who made their product on a preference of
all users, he got stick to its strategies and believed in himself for making windows a part of every
human life. I consider myself as a quite less motivated when it comes to pressure, I got worried
and take decisions in hurry, things make me demotivated easily.
Risk taker: an entrepreneur is known for their risk taking attributes that makes them
reliable and capable in making business decision. Taking risk creates the name and risk involves
those decisions that they actually needs to achieve. There are a lot risk involve in business
function that need to be take in order to take a step towards success (Trofimov, 2017). Pierre
Omidyar was a successful entrepreneur of Ebay, the company first was not known by anyone
because of not gaining must advantage into market, but she decided to take risk in order to
follow their goals.
CONCLUSION
Through this report, it has concluded that entrepreneur and leaders are great personality who
make their efforts in achieving business objectives into long leading market. There must be
effective skills and traits into entrepreneur that makes them analyse to work hard for goals.
Leadership style are effective in business world to make easy guidance and Crete an inspiration
