INTRODUCTION
Leadership is the most important activity that help to motivate and encourage employees.
It really helpful in achieving organisational goals and objectives (Bowers, Hall and Srinivasan,
2017). It is an activity that performed by leader of organisation. It is important to study about
leadership style so that leader can use these style when situation demand. There are many
situation that occur in organisation which can be handle or tackle by leaders. In this report,
leadership is evaluated with the help of development plan.

Critical evaluation of leadership
One important key initiative that taken by organisation is leadership development. It is
noticed that approximate 57% of human resources have a thinking that the organisation's success
is depend on their leadership quality (Adserias, Charleston and Jackson, 2017). It is important for
organisation that they continuously so something for development of quality. Because
development in leadership leads to new change and improves their productivity. For effective
development of leadership, it becomes good for organisation if they make a plan. Personal
Leadership Development plan is a necessary document in which leaders list all activities and
operations that can be perform in near future. Planning is very necessary for organisation,
because it help to cover all information that is relevant for organisation (Hasel and Grover,
2017). Personal leadership development plan help to attain their aim and objectives or
organisation. It is identified in studies that successful leaders plan their personal leadership
development. It help in defining career goals of a person. There are some important elements that
should be cover in personal leadership development plan. Plan should be achievable and flexible
so that if any changes occur then organisation can adopt their plan B or modify their plan.
PLDP is a roadmap for organisation that guide all employees towards their duties and
responsibilities and help leader to improve their leadership style. PLDP is important for
organisation, it help to innovate their leadership style that increase productivity of employees.
PLDP helps in:
Organisation can easily achieve their goals and objectives effectively.
Written goals helpful in refocusing of organisations' mission.

Leadership style has many type such as democratic, participative, authoritarian,
autocratic, affiliate, etc. All leadership style is necessary to understand because their applicability
depends on situations (Eacott, 2017). For a leaders, one thing is essential that they should kept in
minds i.e. objectives or organisation. Leaders are the person who always try to motivate their
employees so that they can integrate individual goals into common goals of organisation.
Leadership style can be choose wisely so that organisation gain maximum profits. Crucial thing
for leaders is that they should perform activities with focusing on their main objectives. Because
if objective is missing in their activities then organisational goals cannot be achievable. There are
three things that should be kept in mind of leader when they make their development plan. Three
things are mentioned below:
Leadership Skill.
Specific Mechanism.
Anticipated Outcome.
Leadership skills is necessary to present in a good leader because their skills help to solve
the problem, communicate the plan, etc. If organisation feel that they have lack of skills then
they should take necessary steps to develop those skills (Cashman, 2017). For example, if leaders
want to develop democratic skills then they should be try to involve with employees of
organisation. It help to understand their behaviour and build democratic skills.
Reflection:
In the project, I analysed that I have to develop some leadership skills that increased my
productivity in organisation. I identified my strengths so that it will help in my leadership style. I
found that organisation need a leader who is multitasker that have all skills to mange the things
at same time. I identified that leadership is the main component of success of organisation.
Organisation growth depend on leaders' strengths and their attributes. I learned about leadership
in a broad manner that it doesn't simply communicate activities. It is more than that, there are
many things that should be kept in mind while performing leadership. I analysed that leaders
should be multitasker, critical thinker, etc. that help to complete their goals and objective
accordingly. I also analysed that if leader want to achieve their target effectively then they should

make a personal leadership development plan. It really helpful for organisation as it help in make
a road map that gives guidelines at each and every stage.
CONCLUSION
It is concluded from the above discussion that leadership play a very important role in
organisation as it help in achieving organisation's objectives and goals. It is analysed that leaders
should always renew and modify their leadership style so that they can improve their
performances. It is very necessary for organisation that they should make a plan for development
of leadership in organisation. Leaders should set a objective in mind so that they can perform
activities accordingly.
