Health Check-up Camp for promoting awareness for stroke and heart disease
among men in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea
Project management is the process of utilizing particular knowledge skills, techniques and tools
to deliver something of value to people (Nieuwboer and et.al., 2019). The purpose of this project
is to drive the significant concern about spreading awareness regarding to heart diseases and
stroke for group of men in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea. The term stroke and
heart disease are formed with high blood pressure as leading cause for heart and stroke disease. It
damages the lining of arteries, and forming them more supersensitive to accumulation of plaque
that narrows arteries which direct cause to heart and brain. The blood PH imbalances direct such
aspects in two major conditions likely to be known as acidosis and alkalosis. According to
WHO, Cardiovascular diseases are direct cause which leads to death globally while taking an
estimation 17.9 million lives in each year (Cardiovascular diseases, 2022). Men deal with
multiple challenges related to such diseases associated with higher risk of blood clots. CVD are
also known as group of disorders of heart, blood vessels and consist of heart diseases as well as
other conditions. In similar manner with estimated factors it has been figured out that four out of
five cardiovascular deaths are because of heart attacks and stroke among most of the men’s
(Gordon and Pollack, 2018). The areas of Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea is the
most impacted as such most of the workers, and other men in specific area face problematic
concerns. As a leader I will make effective use of my skills and take necessitate support from
peers to carry out the effective results for health and medical campaign in concerned area.
Furthermore, in this project there will be five stages which would be utilized to make project
completion in systematic way.

identify the problem and be with clear goals and objectives. There are four steps which would be
favoured by project manager as to create project life cycle while demonstrating necessitate and
benefit of study. Further, It will identify key stakeholders for the project and run feasibility study
on the basis of relevant theories to discuss the outcomes of project. In this project some factors
are considered such as goal, objectives and budget. It is consisted of all such resources which is
required to develop for making the effective project planning for activity which is need to be
considered. It may include one-time project or particular continuous activity, and resources
managed consist of personal, technology, finance and intellectual property. With this regard, the
initiation would be presenting some key areas.

positive outcomes and which may lead to achieve the effective change.
It can also be seen in this evaluation that there are range of positive aspects which would
be making this project thrive. For instance, the scores of driving forces are being appeared
somewhere between 3 to 5 which can be considered as good scale (Oumlil, 2019). At the same
time the fact cannot be rejected that there are some promising notions too. For instance, the
changing belief of the society and people are now more likely to pay attention on their health. It
would be bringing them closer to the project.
On the other hand, there are some negatives too. Such as lack of finance which may cause
severe damages to the project. At the same time lack of supportive infrastructure may also hinder
the success possibility of this project. Not having healthy environment may cause some
significant damages to the project.
This force field analysis has been done in a team to determine the significant impact on
the stroke and heart disease on the heal of people. The important factors which can provide better
aid for generating awareness about these issues in the industry.

approach rather than other competitive tools for brainstorming root of problem. It has different
kind of approaches with similar objectives, also this helps to evaluate cause of undesirable
outcome. The diagram is rooted with cause of people, environment, policy and resource barriers
which reflect how might it would impact to restraining forces. The chart is describing different
aspects such as resources, policy and environment and people. These all elements were deeply
analysed and presented in order to depict the exact picture of this project that how it would affect
the success of entire project.
The chart has presented both negative and positive dimensions of the elements. For instance, it
has revealed the current situation of policies which are being prevailed and the status of
resources which would help to make deeper analysis of the all associated components.
For the following suitable steps will be followed such as:
Step 1: Identification of leadership skills in health care
Step 2: Factors of the case by identifying people, policy, environment and resources.
Step 3: On the basis of possible cause factors recognized in previous step and brainstorm
adequate reasons for cause to the related element.

NGOs
Project Planning
The activities related to objectives are:
1. Awareness campaigns for Healthcare to influence people among society regarding decreasing
heart disease and stroke among group of men in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
2. Implementing health care program to give health related awareness and treat to common
diseases or further referring to follow preventive measures.
As it is known that heart disease is common in the UK, and we cannot make aware to
people all around the world so this small group of men, who are at high risk of heart disease are
selected. It is found that smoking, high blood pressure, unhealthy eating are main causes. So, on
the basis of this, it can be said that physical exercise, health eating and no smoking play a vital
role as all these activities can make people able in improving their health and protecting against
heart disease. With effective leadership skills and quality such free medical camps will be
promoted with aim to uplift the awareness among community as well as also for people who do
not have the access to get some basic healthcare services and knowledge about diseases they are
suffering (Zeike, 2019). The transparent hands will make lucrative outcome and objectives of
this camp with free medical advice, medicine to unfortunate individual. The leader will ensure
that people are getting healthcare facilities at right time and seeking to doctor early enough
before any small health problem convert into serious prevention.
This camp will be conducted by leader getting the favourable support from healthcare
professionals to execute health intervention among community. Although, getting such kind of
health care check-up facilities is crucial for each and every human being and while considering it
some crucial factors like family, background, age, risks would be considered. The camp will
have based on collaboration with stakeholders having expertise in their field for providing health
care benefits Resources and expertise required (Galli, 2018).
Cost estimation for health services will require direct resource that may be involved in delivery
of participation (Sadowski and et.al., 2018). The identification is formed out by leader and those
were associated with cost such as
Making an effective plan of participation and monitoring its implementation by leader
and stakeholders.

Heath Check-up Camps for people in society, making the proper funding and budget to
provide them with adequate resource facilities
Printing and distribution of posters and advertisements to promote the medical camp

Favourable support from staff members such as technicians, doctor, nurses etc. are the
drivers and helpers which would be required to conduct the best medical camp.
Potential risk
The main aim of managing potential risk is identification of risk associated with task and
activities and controlling them as well. Such risks are uncertain and suddenly appear in
allocation of resources, processing, scheduling and technological aspects (Rahardja and Lutfiani,
2020) The process of risk management forms to planning, monitoring and implementation of
process in conducting such activities.

Communication and engagement plan is effective document that describes from whom
the communication is need to be performed with specific purpose. The mode of communication
should be utilized with proper methods with target audience (Sousa and Rocha, 2019). Similarly,
leaders may access to such communication resources to promote healthy environments and form
healthful choices. For this process leaders are assessed with stakeholders’ analysis to develop
effective communication strategy and so on the planning can be done to accomplish the aims and
objectives of project.

On the basis of this, it can be said that communication plays a vital role as it helps out in
decreasing conflicts that happen due to miscommunication (Pellegrini and et.al., 2020). Clear
and concise communication can help out in completing this project in a successful manner.
Project implementation and monitoring
The implement and supervising is phase of cycle of all about getting job done and
delivering imaginative result, making the efficiency utilization of resources available with foster
learning. While working with subordinates, leaders ensure about outcomes learned during time
period consumed in planning stage that is applicable to implementation as adequate planning
helps in understanding barriers and challenges which may uplift.
Activity: Health Check-up Camp for promoting awareness
While moving to the further process it is essential to draft program plan based on critical
reviews of leadership skills and performance management in healthcare. In similar way leader is
aware about concern to get strategic management as well as effective communicating and
leadership styles to manage subordinates and stakeholders with lucrative outcomes. Thus,
effective communication is crucial to enhance the trust, efforts and pursuit of goals and develop

drive to convey their message to audience and discuss their concerns with stakeholders which is
most effective term aligned with planning stage.
On the other hand, I will make use of laissez faire and transformational styles of leadership to
make effective communication to make allocation and management of process. Transformational
leadership would be applicable when there are possible requirements for carrying out activities
with very monitoring aspects. The success criteria will be favoured when monitoring and
implementation is performed well with effective communication. Also, it results in availability,
to listen and provide support and ability to formulate simple and clear expectations and feedback.
So in this scenario leadership skills are capable to make lucrative outcomes and tend to work
with others while providing support as on the basis of communication, involvement in decision
making and solving the conflict issues. On the other hand, it can be said that task drive both
importance and complexity in which relative approach is essential to solve them easily which
may be used by leader.
Project Evaluation
Evaluation of the project is considered as an appropriate and systematic assessment of the
implementation, design and results which are referred in the project (Sieja and et.al., 2019). This
stage comes after the overall intervention is undertaken for emphasizing the sustainability and
effectiveness of the project. The below table indicates different aspects which are crucial for
evaluating the project:

For knowing success and effectiveness of this project, different KPIs can be used such as
financial KPIs, operational and others, Survey and feedback is one of the best ways of evaluating
success of project (Chen and Lin, 2018). Survey will be taken from participants and they will be
asked questions related to their health after attending this program and on the basis of this, we
can know success and effectiveness of this program. On the basis of feedback and survey
answers, changes and improvements can be done in the future project.
Self-evaluation of the Leader
An effective evaluation session took place with the subordinates in order to understand
and analyse the impact of various health issues upon the heart condition of the patients. The
leader of this project provided various solutions which are suitable for reducing the negative
impact of these health issues on the overall effectiveness of the health position of the patients.
The expertise of proficient professional was required in order to analyse the challenges which
was beneficial in interpreting the actual solutions and what measures can be fruitful for negating
the problem (Vaishnavi and Suresh, 2020). Assessment of the potential ways through which the
leadership and communication practices is undertaken in order to maximize the quality of the
output achieved in the project.
Limitations
There are certain limitations which are identified as the barriers in the success of the
project management process. The time frame provided to the team to evaluate the problem and
find adequate solution was less which had a negative impact on the study. It was less effective in
generating better awareness among the people of the negative impact of various factors on the
heart conditions which further leads to stokes in people. Due to some sudden changes in
environment, it became difficult in scheduling program. But with the help of backup plan and

successful manner ( Antonacci and et.al., 2018). It might have a significant impact on the overall
results which are achieved in the completion of the project substantially.
CONCLUSION
In this project the Project Manager has perceived how to lead certain project. Here, the
health check-up event was conducted where number of steps were being taken in order to
complete the project successfully. There were different theories such as FFA and FBA were used
along with Gantt chart which was showing different stages of project and the way they were
performed. The learning experience in this project has been quite enormous. There have been
some challenges in this project which has been addressed with inculcation of better practices.
There were five stages in this project which all were performed aligning with the aims
and pre-intended objectives. There are various factors related with promoting activities of events
were concerned such as communication channel, measurements, associated risk, stakeholders
and all other components. Such measures are analysed in order to conduct project effectively
without facing any kind of issues. The process of each stage in this project has been implemented
effectively as for spreading awareness people related to heart and stroke diseases considered for
specific 30-50 age group of men in Royal Borough of Kensington and Chelsea.
