supports to enhance the growth of the organization in an appropriate way. It is the essay which
has been framed in the context of hospitality industry and two different questions will be
answered in this essay. The key elements of positive and strong organizational culture will be
describing in this report in the support of leadership and management. Diversity management is
essential management that uses best practices to make a wide-ranging workplace. Best practices
refer mentoring and sponsorship program, employee resource groups and supervisory diversity
councils.
Organization culture is considered as the system of shared views, assumption and values
which operates that how people will behave in the organization. The key elements of positive
and strong organizational culture in relations to hospitality establishment can be training and
development, use cross organizational methods to go viral, Align programmatic efforts with
behaviors and work with and within current cultural situations (Hogan and Coote, 2014).
Hospitality is the industry that should be trained properly if it wants to have impact on consumer.
Training and development will be helpful for the organization to enhance the productivity of the
employee with huge knowledge. Ideas can spread hastily across departments and functions of
organization along with top and bottom department. To spread the ideas and promotion,
organization can use social media. Organization should be on its words while hiring people who

commitment should be there so that they can get more engaged with mission and vision of the
hospitality industry. There is an example of Hilton which shows that organizational culture is
essential component to attain the competitive advantages. The organizational culture is very well

of healthy environment of working. To establish the organization in hospitality industry, the
strong key elements of organizational culture would be values, norms, stories, legends,

and philosophies. Norms is the element which is able to accomplish the things by including the
tasks rules and standards of the organization (Daya and April, 2014). The history of organization
and other related stories are representing the culture of organization and underline the values of
organization. Physical artifacts are the tangible manifestation and key elements of organizational
culture. In the context of new establishment, organization should be unique in the terms of its
physical layout.
Diversity management is the form of strategy which is implemented in the organization
to find the diverse and comprehensive workplace. The importance of diversity in the industry of
hospitality is essential. Being a manger of the organization in the hospitality, innovation and
cultural intelligence are the huge reason to employ a diverse workforce. Workforce from
different culture would be helpful for cultural intelligence (Singal, 2014). It will produce foster
understanding in cultures. Innovation brings a huge change in the environment of working and
employees from different race, region and language make the diverse place. It has various
benefits such as organization bring a learning environment for both tourist and employees.
Individuals with diverse background will be able to create a corporate vision that not only help to
understand various cultures but also amplifies the delivery of the satisfactory services by
observation and communication. Diversity is important for the hospitality industry (Janssens and
Zanoni, 2014). Hospitality industry is one of the topmost exposed industries which have the
incredible growth in social media. Any detail of the organization can get viral within a minute;

customers and sell services as per diverse customer base. Diversity brings in several prospects to
the table. These prospects can be the cause of foster innovation. An innovative and adaptive
workforce is crucial to sustain the competitive advantages (Boella and Goss-Turner, 2013).
Working with people who belong with different backgrounds can bring the tremendous growth
for the organization. Competitive advantage can be used in the term of developing the employee
engagement. The employees would be learned from diverse people. Employees of the
organization can be inspired by diverse work group. It will certainly lead employees and their
team in the way of career growth and improve their team skills. Diversity as a source of
competitive advantages will be boosting the employee value proposition in the enterprise
(Epstein and Buhovac, 2014).
It has been concluded that leadership and management in hospitality industry is vital
because it is the strategy which deals with challenges and issues wisely and improve the
productivity of an individual as per cultural demand. Organizational culture helps to share the
