Problem statement
Organizations are considered to be effective and efficient if it identifies the balance
between stakeholders’ demands and employees’ needs. An appropriate leadership in
organizational culture can ensure and influence the economic growth as well as ensure the
prosperity of both the employees and organization. However, at times, organizations are not
able to implement effective leadership in their policies, which proves to be disadvantageous
for the culture (Braun et al., 2013). There may be disagreements between the employees and
organizational leaders, which may result into disputes, conflicts and reduce productivity.
Transformational leaders are the ones who can motivate and encourage the employees to
perform better every day. Effective and efficient leaders help in improving team morale and
employee productivity (Choudhary, Akhtar & Zaheer, 2013).
The goal of any company or organization is not only to survive on the long run, but
also to maintain its existence by improving employee performance. The report throws light
on the impact of effective leadership in organizational policies and culture. The example of
Turing Pharmaceuticals is being taken in order to explain ineffective leadership. It discusses
about the underlying connection between organizational performance and transformational
leadership. In addition to this, data collection and analysis is done in a detailed manner in
order to understand the impacts of leadership on organizational performance. Moreover,

Aims and objectives
Turing Organization has been facing some issues related to leadership, presently. The

major concepts as well as leadership types within the organizational setting. Few studies
regarding the role of leadership for increasing the organizational performance have revealed
the fact that organizational leaders play a critical role in the overall success of the employee
performance. Few scholars have argued that leadership roles are not so important for
achieving organizational success; rather it invites more expenses within the organizational
culture and calls for disagreements among the employees and managers.
The objectives of this report are to;
Analyze the importance of leadership in an organizational setting.
Examine the impacts of leadership in improving employee performance and team
morale in Turing Pharmaceuticals.
Examine the benefits of leadership for organizational success.
Recommend ways and develop some strategies for improving organizational
leadership in Turing Pharmaceuticals.
Organizational leader benefits the business to a huge extent, if and only if they are
able to assign the tasks to the employees in an effective manner. This, in turn, increases the
work productivity of the employees. Moreover, good leaders can determine the competencies
and in-competencies of the employees and assign them task accordingly. Efficient divisions
of labor results in higher work output and ultimately leads to higher profit and sales.
A brief methodology
To assess accurately, the impacts of leadership in organizational setting, the whole
report has chosen a mixed methodology for conducting the whole study. Firstly, the

Pharmaceutical Organizations’ website. This helped in gaining an understanding regarding
the organizational leadership behaviors. In addition to this, Turing Organizational reports and
data have helped in gaining an understanding of the topic. In order to support, literature
review and secondary sources have helped a lot in presenting the points along with sound
evidences. Last but not the least; combining the points with the key findings have enabled in
forming the report, which in turn helped in developing the future workforce strategies.
