leader. They play a crucial role in solving problems, finding issues and create plans to achieve
the goals and targets (Hafizianor, 2021). This research is based on a waste management project
of UK which shows that the country has to be safe by reducing wastage and promote availability
of resources. Therefore, the research will present leadership theories to find out challenges in
managing project. It will be done through using relevant research methodologies and sources.
Also, the discussion will present problems and limitations of thee study.

The concept of waste management needs to be analyse about by looking at the conditions
of UK economy. This topic is crucial to gain understanding about the reasons behind increasing
wastage in the economy. It is all because of human activities, business excessive production and
polluting environment. It focus on sustainability actions which are necessary to be taken by
every individual of society. It has seen that, there are many issues impacting the environment due
to hazardous activities like pollution, global warming which is destroying the nature. This lead
laid own interest on the topic to gain knowledge about the waste system with effect of leadership
(Guide, 2020). Also, in own university, I have learned about various business practices in which
leadership is very crucial. It is also an important areas which I need to analyse that how
leadership theories and practices will help in successfully completion of UK waste management
project. It is beneficial for the project managers to attain great leadership traits and skills in
coping up with project issues and make reliable strategies.
Problem definition:
In recent complex environment of business and country, the problem of management
ineffective management has major impact on project success. Leadership is one of the major role
in management which helps in motivating, retaining an inspiring people towards work

completion (Lee,and Lee,2021). Nowadays, due to having digitalisation, online communication
and collaboration, leaders are not able to communicate with the workers, guide them clearly and
provide immense support. It becomes an issue in lacking with project gaols and objectives as the
workers can distract from their path without proper guidance. Therefore, in controlling waste
from the country, the leaders needs to look for creating plans and strategies for guiding each
staff, create awareness and inspire them to work with utmost dedication.

According to Greenwood, Stanitz, and LaMere, 2021, Leadership is a vital practice
which enhance the chances of getting success in managing project. It is about preparing plans,
maintaining project objectives and manage project till it gets complete. They are the role players
in accumulating resources hire people, decide roles and responsibilities for each staff working for
the project. Leadership is effective in managing day to day operations, resolving issues, plan the
prioritised activities and creating effective project scope. When leadership will be there, a project
will flow on work based needs and regularities. It is beneficial to assist every individual which is
connected with the project working and make them aware about how to perform work in an
effective manner.

According to Tubb, 2019, Leadership is all about using different models, plans and
styles to inspire and motivate the people. Leaders differs in their attitude, skills and behaviour to
promote effective functioning. There are some important theories of leadership in managing
behaviour and people at workplace. It helps in taking decisions which best suits on the situation.
There is requirement of key theories that helps in finalising the task and actions for reducing
waste from the UK. The great man, trait, behavioural and transactional theories are important for
a leaders to make strategies after analysing behaviour of people, enhance own skills and make
decisions after analysing the situations.

According to Coulson-Thomas, 2020, Leadership is found to be most effective activity
in coping up with management issues in UK. The leaders will formulate the strategies in
identifying the problems in delivering project successfully. These issues might be of insufficient
of resources, people, management barmiers and internal conflicts. All of them will be resolve
and management by the project leaders to not get affect with project objectives. The other issues
could be unrealistic deadlines, inappropriate team skills, internal and external projects risks. A
leader will find ways to set standard time and provide training to the staff for meeting with the
objectives. They will use effective software to check project performance, inventory
management, result and future risk which might harm the society. The leaders need to take
guidance from, the people and get on to the best decision in favour of every individual. In order
to cope up wit these project management issues, the leaders keep focus on project needs and find
ways to motivate others.
Research methodology
Research approach: It is a way and procedure which helps in analysing relevant ways to
carry out the research. It shows how the research data will be collected and in which form. There
are mainly two types of research that is inductive and deductive. It shows that, there is
requirement of creating valuable data from both the approach. This research is based on
deductive approach in which an existing theory being used whereas, inductive approach is use to
form a new area of study. Deductive approach is suitable for this research as it is less time taking
which give valuable data.
Research strategy: The research strategy is helpful in giving direction to the whole
research. There are various strategies options for the researcher to utilise among them to collect

and identify relevant data. There are various strategy identifying in study and experiments that
require people opinion, experiments and case studies. This research will be carried out through
literature sources, surveys and experiments. Therefore, the survey will helps in identifying the
problem of waste in the society and the role of leadership in solving the problem and issues.
Research methods: In order to carry out a research, methods are necessary for
formulating clear plans and collecting data (Ford, Abdulla, and Morgan, 2018). It is important
to consider most suitable method as per the research topic so that, the objective will be fulfil
properly. It helps in finding data from relevant sources and carries out a research on the impact
of leadership on waste management project in UK. The research philosophy are interpretivem
and positivism in which this research use intrepretisvism that helps in getting data in qualitative
ways and no scientific and factual data required just like in positivism.
Data collection: There are various methods of data collection that provide multiple
chores to the researcher. Data can be collected in two manner such as qualitative and
quantitative. In which, this research is going to use quantitative form of data which is a part of
primary research (Hatta, 2021). The qualitative data is a part of secondary sources. It would be
collected through questionnaire and surveys to keep data realistic.
Sampling: It is all bout collecting data as by collecting samples of population. This
research includes 50 respondent through random sampling method.
Time: The work will be carry out within specific time period that has shown in graph.

CONCLUSION
From the above research proposal, it has concluded that research needs to be conducted
by using effective tools and techniques. It will be done through using appropriate research
methodology and tools. The problem which will be solve through this research would be about
waste management and how it will be solve through leadership.
