INTRODUCTION
Innovation is the procedure of converting idea into a products and services which
develops value that satisfy the needs and wants of the customers(Bai, Lin and Li, P 2016). It is
very necessary that there should be proper execution of innovation in company which helps in
achieving competitive advantage and generate more profit. Sometimes there is failure in
implementing innovation because of conflict among employees, power relations and cultural
intelligence. Leader of company have to engage their employees in decision making process
which helps in better evaluation of problems which are affecting performance of company.
Organisation faces the issue in implementing innovation which increase cost of business
activities. In this context, leader is the one who have to adopt effective leadership approach that
helps organisation in execution innovation properly and achieves the competitive advantage.

encourage their staff members by various techniques that are as follows:
Self motivation: It is internal drive of an employee that motivates an individual to work
hard and achieve specific goals. If employees of Company XYZ not has self motivation
ability in them than its directly affects the performance of firm and it also become
difficult to implement innovation(Bolman and Deal 2017). On the other hand, when staff
members has self motivation in them than it is beneficial for an enterprise because they
work hard to achieve set objectives and it become easy for company to implement

emotions. It includes three skills that are emotional awareness, ability to manage
emotions and capability of problem solving. When staff member of firm do not have
emotional intelligence than it become very difficult of entity to implement innovation
successfully(Hawkins 2017). It is because employees do not have skills of solving there
problems and do not have ability to manage emotions so it leads to failure in
implementing innovation. If employees of Company XYZ having emotional intelligence
than it helps an organisation in achieving competitive advantage and implementation of
innovation become successful.
Cultural intelligence: It is individual's ability to perform effectively and efficiently in
the situations characterised by the cultural diversity at the workplace. Importance of
cultural intelligence is to foster tolerance and also enhance the cross cultural interactions.
When employees of Company XYZ do not have the capability of cultural intelligence
than it affects the performance of the company and also have failure in implementing
innovation which leads to increase in of cost company and customer are also not get
satisfied with their product and services which decrease the market share of company. On
the other side, staff members have the ability of cultural intelligence than it helps
company to implement innovation successfully which results in achieving competitive
advantage and it also increases the market share of company because with the innovative
products and services, customer are more satisfied and happy.
Power relation: There is failure in implementation of innovation in Company XYZ it is
because, firm only gives power to certain people in the organisation. So it become very
different for an enterprise to take corrective decisions as only few members take
decisions(Levi 2015). They formulate strategies without understanding the ground level
issues. To get success in implementing innovation than Company XYZ have to engage all
employees or give equal powers to the staff members who are at same position. When
every employee is take part in decision making process than firm know about the issue
that are available in the organisation. Leader of the company formulate innovation
