1LEADERSHIP MANAGEMENT
In the following assignment, the summary of the interviewer is outlined. The discussion
was based on the topic of leadership, the different forms of leadership and management and the
key discussion was made on making the professional development for teacher’s effectiveness
(Antonakis & Robert, 2013). The interview clearly states about the discussion that is based on
the power of managing the organization in an efficient and effective manner.
In the first section of the interview the question was based on the use of leadership
technique where the candidate had answered in a spontaneous manner. The technique that
director used in motivating its employee was the power of speech which is one of the essential
component to motivate a particular team. The process of feedback used by the director is a smart
way of delivering message to the teachers where the negative feedbacks were used to improve
the efficiency of teachers and the positive feedback were used to encourage the teachers.
The director’s concept of handling an effective management comprises of learning the
prospect of teacher’s personality, observing the style of the teacher, attending different classes of
teachers and observing the style of teacher’s interaction with the students (Eliophotou, 2014).
These skills adopted by the director acts as an effective managerial skill for the particular
institution. However, according to the director the difference between a leadership and
management was stated as: leadership is the process of directing or guiding a group of
individuals to work together and reach collective goals. On the other hand, management is the
process of making sure that individuals successfully stay on track, maintain teamwork, and
accomplish tasks. However on a personal prospect the director has the capability to reach high
performance strategies.

2LEADERSHIP MANAGEMENT
The concept of developing the teachers as perfect leaders can emerge with the
composition of having god qualities and the ability to face challenges. The power of overcoming
the challenge has an open system of communication (Tesfaw, 2014). The director made it crucial
for its teachers be happy in their current roles. Whereas the director itself made effort to conduct
face to face communication with the teachers as well with the students so that the upcoming
challenges could be avoided.
The ongoing professional development for seasoned teachers in the field of education
was used as a reference to the wide variety of specialized training. The advanced professional
learning that intended to help the administration, educators and teachers to improve the
professional knowledge, efficiency, competence and skill (Msila, 2013). The greatest challenge
faced by the director was the problem of the misunderstanding between the teacher and the
students, where the teacher was frustrated with a group of children. On the other hand, the
children had a misconception that teacher made insulting comments against the students.
Hence, it can be concluded that the qualities of a leader should go hand in hand with his
or her personality, intelligence, clear vision and the most important is to have the ambition to
succeed in very task.
